EMB 135/145 co-pilots
Rishworth Aviation is looking for f/o's on the 135/145 in Europe. Does anyone know who that could be for? The only 145 operators that come to my mind are BMI regional and "Swedstar" (can't think of the name now), not sure if Luxair still their 135s.
What's behind this? I thought the 135/145 was on it's way to the boneyard. :uhoh: |
Could be City Airline flying out of Gothenburg. When I still had a valid ERJ rating they also recruited some pilots via agency's. They're still flying with a couple of 135's/145's I believe.

City Airline is expanding, with MD-87 (ex. SAS). Also articles are out in Swedish newspaper they are recruiting for their current ERJ operations.

Type rating Legacy 600
Hello Folks,
I am planning to get type rated on ERJ's. Heard new legacy have come up in the market. The reason of doing this rating is that a charter company wants me to self sponsor the type training. I wanted to know what is the Approximate cost of the rating and from where. I hold an FAA multi license few HUNDRED hours, yet to reach triple ZEROS.:) Also, i want to think about my future with embraers. If i want to stick with this embraer family are there enough operators flying these machines. I have seen a ERJ 145 and it looks so beautifull. Legacy are supposed to be much more gorgeous then these. I have my heart on them. At the same time i am thinking about the future in embraers. Will someone like to put some suggestions forward. |
Don't waste your cash if you have other options! You need a Boeing or Airbus rating to make it in this world.
|
You can have a look at FlightSafety Intl. That's where I did my ERJ training some years ago. Training facilities are good.
But like it's been said above...if you've got other options, don't purchase yourself a rating. Especially this one, since it's quite hard to find a job with an erj rating and low hours. I don't know where you're from, but in Europe there are only a few erj operators. |
Eastern have 2 EMB135's and rumours of EMB145 coming shortly
|
Swiss Aviation Training are a fraction of the price you will pay at FlightSafety. I agree with D & F, its a dead end TR. E170 family is also another good one to have.
