Airline Retirement Age in EU
 

I apologize if this topic has already been covered, but I can't seem to find info on this topic. Does anyone know what the pilot retirement age is in EU? For example at Ryanair, SAS, Easy Jet, etc. I noticed that the retirement age varies from country to country. Is this currently the case or is there a proposal to have one retirement age in EU? Thanks OC.

At Lufthansa you can ask to quit at 55 and you cannot fly beyond 60. As long as you have not reached the age (63) for public retirement benefits the company pays an "interim salary".

The ICAO age 65 rule now applies in almost all countries. I think all The companies you ask about all employ pilots up to this age.
I also understand that Africa and Newzealand have no age limit.

At KLM your mandatory retirement age is 56, unless you choose to reduce to 80% once you turn 40. Then you are allowed to fly until 60 (or 80% from 48 until 58). Excellent system IMHO and we have to fight to keep it that way…
