It must be a wind up with that money offered!

FMC OVERHEAT 26th Mar 2008 15:03

no info?

Anyone has info about this airline? when they'll be starting? ect...
Salary seems pretty low for F/O. Half of captain's salary as opposed to the normal 70% of captain's salary.

Type rated only? Work permit issue for Non-EU pilots?

I appreciate any comments on this.

JPHIL68 26th Mar 2008 16:00

It s a joke regarding the salary??????and the contract for 12 months and then another 12 months

and for this price you must speak english of course dutch ok but an arabic language is better....the big joke of the year:ok:

poor airline......

I happened to know who are some so-called "managers" there.
I just want to say; STAY AWAY!

PM me if you look for more info....

Is this a commercial airline, charter? Their "vision/mission" seems uninformative.

Most of it is here:

http://www.amsterdam-airlines.com/in...1&limitstart=2

For non rated pilots:

"In some cases, subject to the judgment of the Management, the Company is willing to enter into an agreement with a non-type rated flight crew member wishing to join the Company to advance the costs for the requested type rating training provided the flight crew member supplies the Company with a bank guarantee. The bank guarantee must be valid for 24 months. In such a case the Company will subtract an amount from the fixed salary during 24 months to make good the cost of the requested type rating training. When in training the pilot will not be paid a salary"

stay away from this bunch!

they clearly do not take the crew serious with this kind of pay offer. Their reputation is not good, ask anyone from Martinair or Denimair. This a poor attempt to copy FR into a ACMI operation. be carefull!

testpanel 27th Mar 2008 15:12

Nick, I´m with you, I said it before, and if needed again: STAY AWAY

g109 31st Mar 2008 01:34

are they serious???

They must BE KIDDING????

offering a package like this, expecially in these times, is A TOTAL JOKE!!!!!!!!!!

STAY AWAY GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so long

46mph 28th Apr 2008 16:28

They will start operations from Maastricht-Aachen Airport to Ankara and Antalya

Shaman 12th Feb 2009 08:40

Rumour has it that they are getting 2 more a/c in March for flights to where I'm not quite sure..............

captain_rossco 12th Feb 2009 09:47

I went to Oxford Groundschool with the dutch chap who father is setting this company up. It's no joke. They were meant to be rolling out last year but had their sole tour operator pull out!

Bad salary. Yes and no. Depends. Amsterdam has some advantages as a domicile compared to some other places with somewhat higher salary. Then again there are companies flying A320s paying Captains base salary of 3300 Eur a month + sector pay. From that salary one can pay housing and tickets home if one lives elsewhere than the base.

OPEN DES 13th Feb 2009 19:39

The conditions suck. The worst thing is that it's just a one-year renewable contract. AMS as base? Yes, on paper. In practice you will be doing wetleases somewhere in Africa or some Hadj flying. Still like the pay? The so-called separation allowance (out of base supplement) is not good enough.

There are A320 F/O jobs around with better pay and conditions than their capt job.
