Working for Phuket Airlines

Is there any pilots who have any information about flying for Phuket Airlines? Do they pay the right amount on time, what are the conditions like, etc..
I'm not thinking of making a career with them just a temporary money fix, they pay first officers $8000 a month including per-diem. Safe flying.

Shady operation. When business is down.. dont pay on time, if at all. Banned in Europe. Make your judgement.

Phuket Airlines

Thanks for your reply. I thought the ban was lifted from the EU?

Phuket Air pays when they feel like it

Phuket Air pays usually 1 week to 10 days late.
And if you resign, do it on pay day, because if you resign with any monies owed to you, you will forfeit this amount.

Phuket Air now says that if you resign, that "you owe them" for the training they provided you, as much of a joke as the training is, so you forfeit your last paycheck. me.

Have not seen their "parked" aircraft move from Don Muaeng in months....

Phuket Airlines

They got round the EU ban by re-registering the airline as Air Phuket....but they are still the same outfit......See the tread here on their incident in Medina.

Al Badr is a dump. Substandard by any western measure. I stayed there for one night and promptly moved out. The hotel has not been fixed, cleaned or renovated since the 70's and it shows.

Phuket Air. Well I know 2 people personally that didnt get their salaries. 3rd left unannounced the moment his salary was in the bank. Seems to be the way to deal with this type of operators.

You hit the nail on the head,,,,Al-Badr a dump.

Do they have a dispensation to operate with 2 pilots over 60? Or is this just their latest totally illegal stunt?

Whats next?

Thai Way Or Highway

With operations concerning both pilots over 60, just the tip of the Iceberg.
New hired crews brought in and given a lesser contract than advertised and promised, poor guys found this out after training and operating several flights.
Overtime rate was slashed once again after the fact and hours flown.
Not a happy group over there.
If you value your credentials and sanity best to leave this one alone.
:ugh:
