Easyjet Madrid

I´ve been told yesterday that EZY will hire some pilots for MAD via an agency, just like Ryan does with Brookfield.

Anybody knows better?

Thanks a lot...

EZY MAD base

Well, seem like nobody knows much about MAD base...

Lets wait and see

Thanks in advance..

True is, that EZY did not get enough personal to operate MAD autonom.
Most personal is on night stopping. Looks like they will do this for some time.
Nothing heared about contractors.

D&M 10th Mar 2007 18:58

Lowered contractual terms and now they're paying night-stops?... Que lío!!:}

Ugly Duck 12th Mar 2007 12:17

The Spanish contract the easy is offering is not up to standards. It is far from good. Hence, they are no getting the people they were looking for. :ugh:

If things change, i.e. a better contract, I am sure there will be more pilots going for it.

Anyone know if they need FO´s in MAD?

Kraut 12th Mar 2007 17:48

Heared that the recruiting deparment has done it´s part.
If that is true, the situation should soon improve when all the training is done?

Question is, why so late? It´s known for quite a while, that MAD will be operational?

Furtheron I heared from an applicant, which got the answer, that EZY is "full" for quite a while. All of a sudden, the person I am referring to, got an invitation for April (FO)!

How's the MAD contract not up to scratch? Looking at the salary and benefits for Spanish flightdeck on the easyJet site, doesn't look like a bad deal at all. Anything in there they're hiding from the public?

Kraut 13th Mar 2007 20:03

The spanish contract differs from the UK contract. Might look ok, but have a closer look!
I.e. LoL, pension, rostering

Coffee Black None 13th Mar 2007 20:10

No Pension
No TRSS backpay
No Pension
Higher Taxes
No Pension
Days off known only one month in advance
No Pension
Stock buying scheme taken off your NET pay
No Pension
Before long you will be nightstopping all over Europe because you're cheaper to use on Domestic UK/French routes then the crew on a UK contract.
Did I mention No Pension?

RadAlt 13th Mar 2007 20:18

I did notice that, but thought that's why the basic salary (£ converted to€) is higher than the UK contract? How's that UK sectorpay comparing to the Spanish FDP?

orangetree 13th Mar 2007 20:29

UK sector pay equates to considerably more than Spanish duty pay. The 5354 in MAD is not ll it seems either..it differs from the UK agreement.

Kraut 13th Mar 2007 20:48

RADALT

If theese infos are not convincing you, what you think, why nearly nobody working on a UK contract, signed the spanish contract?

I admit, before NO job, this is a reasonable offer, compared with VUELING i.e.

RadAlt 14th Mar 2007 09:53

Ok, I see your point. More days leave in Mad though:hmm:
Thanks for the info.
