New Ryanair STN pay deal
 
You may laugh all day long , but this is what on offer -
6% pay incr over 4 yrs
Sector Pay -
FOR CAPT's, £22.50/ sched block hr, to nearest minute.
FOR CO-PILOTS, £18/hr
"Allowance" of 5K per yr for "expenses" and 5Kper yr for pension matching
Pens all'ce for Co-P's, is half.
5-4 Apr-Dec, then some 5-3's and similar exceptions to last yr, including penalties for being "not avail due sickness", not answering queries, etc etc.
6-3 twice a yr for Training.
Further incr's for Training staff.
To be decided by vote, deadline (for now), 16th March.
If you vote "No", then it's 2% without the extras.
No share options anymore.
And a lotta bullsh*t.

I was at the Ryanair meeting in STN. I could not understand why DOB was wound up so much by the REPA stooges in the audience. :ugh: I was surprised that the Irish REPA guy said that he had used pilots mobile nos! The deal is a lot better than we are on now and far fewer strings than last year. Not as tasty as EasyJet but it may be the best we can get right now.

The REPA thing will droan on but I will vote for this and whenever REPA get the unions in then I can enjoy whatever they win for us. I'll take my jam now please and also hopefully enjoy some REPA jam in the future. Call me a mercenary but I want the 5/4 and the pay for an LTC is significantly increased - GBP10k.

Curious that PB did not present the STN event. I wonder is he on the way out? Some prat from REPA even defaced the Radisson hotel with the REPA stickers across their hotel pottery! Must have been 100 pilots knocking around.

The best ever was,pilots fined £400 if they fail to respond to a company query within one working day and anther fine if you fail to report to the office on a sick day to submit your sick cert.
inv on the 20th nov last year you said pb will leave or be pushed.anymore predictions?

Just to add my tuppence worth. A simple search of previous posts will quickly clarify that inveritas is not a pilot and is a management stooge. In fact he is almost certainly a Ryanair management figure. He likes MOL.

He will stop posting shortly unless he wants to go into competition with Leo. A new identity and the same guff will appear endlessly. There is always some innocent who will come along and believe what he writes, such is the nature of innocent pilots.

Speaking of Leo, I am sure that our "ordinary line pilot" will come along soon to sing the virtues of regular beatings and living on nothing.

Stjuk, sorry to disagree, it wasn't even a nice try. In fact, it was amazing how badly prepared and briefed the FR management team were. Unable to answer questions, silly and obviously misleading claims .... kinda like the nonesene "truthmyarse" spouts above.

I think that the management have been very clever here, the company has too many pilots at the moment and there are plenty of people at the bottom of the pile all waiting to pay for their spanking new 800 rating. The balance of supply and demand belongs to supply, and the company are taking advantage of this, as one would expect. I don't believe that any amount of pilot action from REPA/BALPA will make a blind bit of difference. A vote yes will hurt some of the work force but a vote yes will give every pilot an uplift, considering the state of the market at the moment: if you cant stand the heat then get out of the kitchen.....:ok:

I think that the management have been very clever here
style, followed by why you should give in / cannot win / be fearful / accept anything Ryanair says as the only verifiable truth in the universe??

Of course there are people who do believe it, poor fools, which is why they keep doing it.

Hary - you can believe what you want to believe,that is your prerogative.but we will make all the difference and you are welcome to lay down and take it if you like.we will stand up and fight,and win a better deal even for people who like you,who are dead but to be buried.glad to see that you acknowledge that a vote for anything that ryanair management proposes will hurt everybody.you just figure that you will not be in the group that gets hurt.so typical ryanair,**** ON ANYONE,AS LONG AS IT IS NOT ME!quite pathetic.

I think the spirit of my reply may have been lost on some people. I, the same as most people wish to earn lots of money and have the best terms and conditions I am able to negotiate. However I think one has to be real about the situation and take a long hard look at what the industry is going through right now on a global scale. Up until now Irish/British pilots have been used to running the show and making up 99% of the work force. Times are changing, the penny has dropped and eastern European pilots are keen to work over here now and they are coming over in droves, the thing is they are happy with 66k a year basic as it more than they could ever earn back home. The company may have negotiated with the authorities a way to allow US pilots to fast track the system to European employment, again these guys are going to be happy to take anything. So as you can see the balance of supply and demand is and will shift to supply. This allows Ryanair to pay what they like and no amount of moaning will change that fact. I for one take a practical view of put up or shut up. Maybe those pilots that are too blind to see the future should consider working for another company where T’S and C’s are more important than revenue. Good luck!

1. Irish/British pilots have never been up to 99% of the work force in Ryanair .
2. Eastern European pilots have always been used by propaganda machine . I remember a MEMO from famous WB , saying that hundreds of pilots from LOT, MALEV , CSA and other companies are waiting to join RYR . Well , in the last 12 months I have flown twice with eastern European FO's .
3. It is not really about supply and demand . It is about quality . I mean assessments , initial training , command training et c . Standard now is a long way down from it was years ago . Result - unstabilised approaches , level busts et c .
4. 66K a year basic is a joke .

Don't know where you get your info but it is wrong.
"Too many pilots", you must be joking! For the last five years I am working as a contractor and each year I get more and more calls. They start calling earlier and earlier and again and again.The T& C's are going up every day. Only exception: FR, they offer less now than two years ago. At that time they were market leader, now they are almost at the bottom end.

Thank you for flying Ryanair and also for pointing out the reality of the EU workforce situation. It has changed and will change over the next few years, the supply has been well forcast and predictions that were made a few years ago are now a reality. I would not say that Ryanair exploits it's workforce as it is their choice to join, stay or go as they please. Again if you want smiles and huggs when you turn up for work then maybe easyjet might be a better option for you!:cool: Many crew in Ryanair are on a very good wage considering they only work up to about 25 hrs in a given week, I think 66k a year for a part time job is no that bad, do you?
