The F/O pay is comparatively low, and the aircraft are relatively new. They are operating -800s and have recently taken on a -400 to fly the VIP operations.
Management is all ex military... which is how they airline is run. Pretty good guys and straight forward. They fly world wide, stay in pretty decent hotels, and you won't starve while you are flying as the crew meals are pretty good and plentiful. It is not a commuting job... so you need to take that into consideration. The average age of captains are in their '40s... so upgrade is going to take quite a while. But on a whole as far as charter carriers go in the US... Miami Air is probabaly the best one to work for. |
...If you don't mind flying with some of the ex Eastern Airlines scabs.:=

Glueball - you are out of order!
In your opinion they are scabs BUT every man has the right to choose his way in life. It may not be the way you would choose. The path others choose may annoy you, may irritate you and you may believe they are misguided BUT that is their choice NOT yours. Name calling and bitchiness is not the way for professional airmen to behave and everyone has their own reasons for doing what they do. Just show a little tolerance eh?:)
