BA Recruitment Requirements-What Should I Do?

Hello I'm looking for some advice.

I applied to BA last year through the SSP scheme and was unsuccessful, and now I am about to apply through the DEP scheme. HOWEVER...at the present closing date for applications (23rd Jan) I will be 15 hours shy of the 500 hours airline time required. Which in my company is 2-3 flying days. So what should I do?

Should I send in an application and add on the 15 hours knowing fine well that when I eventually attend the selection I will have 550 ish hours?

OR

Do the honest thing and pass this time then wait till the recruitment process opens again?

Also do you invisage that they will open their doors again to applications early this year or later on down the line?

Any advice would be grately appreciated.

Third Option (if you can) is bung in application with covering letter explaining what you've said here, and then follow up 2-3 days later with a further letter / CV confirming you have the hours.
If it's all "online" and cannot do the above, phone them (if you can!).
1. It's not worth "lying"
2. You don't want to delay a day longer than you can v seniority etc.

yeh def just apply but make it clear your slight shortfall. Its worth a shot isn't it? seniority is big around here!

Hi,

Just send in your application without saying anything by the time they will call you for an interview you will have the requirements...

Good luck

If it makes you feel any better - for the last 18 months BA have been recruiting; they 'close' recruitment, only to reopen it a few days later.

If you believe that being honest is the only way to go in life, you still have a lot to learn.
Especially that the "lie" you are contemplating is really peanuts.
Do you really intend on putting the exact hours, with the minutes and seconds. I would feel ridiculous to put a figure of 485hr25min on my CV.
So round up to 500 and send the damned CV out. I am sure, others in your situation, would do the same thing.

Kick some ass in that selection procedure.

Alternatively, just call recruiting and ask them, that way it's official. They are very friendly people and easy to talk to.
