Virgin Atlantic - what's it like?
Hello,
Can anyone flying for Virgin Atlantic tell me what it's like generally ? Destinations ? Wage ? Conditions ? (ON-OFF) Commuting possibilities from the european continent ? Are they still looking for pilots ? And if so what are the requirements ? Many thanks ! |
Well Virgin is done to death on this forum so why didn't you do a search?
There are some very good threads on VS if you'd taken the time to look..... |
Well for starters you need a UK Issued ATPL licence!!!!!(forget about JAA, in the UK tey like to do some market protection)
To give you an idea....4000TT, 1200 A330, 2500 A320, Full JAA ATPL.....am waiting since 3 years now for my shot at the interview. The UK ATPL seems to be the problem Good luck |

When Sabena existed try getting a job with them if you weren't Belgian? (we're not talking contracts). Try getting a job with Alitalia or Iberia if you aren't Italian or Spanish. Look at all the Dutch working for UK airlines. No offence but we don't need your xenophobic posts. Perhaps the real reason you didn't get through the door and into VS is becuase you weren't good enough. |
Try these threads:
This one This one This one And this one that should give you a start. When you've finished these threads, do a search using 'Virgin' as the keyword. Restrict it to this forum and titles only. That'll give you just a hundred or so threads to plough through. Any questions left after that, I'll be delighted to try and answer - as I'm sure will others. Scroggs |
