Jet Airways Mumbai
Been on PARC's books for awhile(never actually used them for employment as I had a good job but have now retired and thinking I might do a bit of contract work for a change of scenery).I recieved an email with details of a job on offer in Mumbai with Jet Airways-B737ng. I have all the qualifications etc. and was wondering if anyone could help with first hand thoughts on conditions etc. Thanks

The working conditions are good.Well managed. You could expect a lot of flying. You might want to insist on the SWIP FDTL.
|
Thanks but whats SWIP FTDL?
|
SWIP(Society For The Welfare Of Indian Pilots)It is ment for Jet Airways Pilots. They are really short of pilots .You might want to get the Flight Duty Time Limitations Clarified. The SWIP FDTL is More relaxed.

Thanks for your reply.Seems that if I take up the job I could be working my but off! But wont mind as long as the flying is sort of fun!

Jet Airways
Travelled with Jet as PAX last year. Best service I've had in coach since Wardair went bust. A real throw back. If they treat their employess like they treat their customers (probably do) it sounds like a good deal. Can't wait for them to start NYC-BOM
Good luck |
Seems the contracts may differ between companies. Have seen a contract for Jet with salary of $US 9500 per month for a line pilot, plus $US 500 for a TRI and plus another $US500 for a TRE, $6000 retention per three months. Rest looks similar. Best to have a look around for this one if you are interested. Have a look at the flight International job web site. Look for a company like the way you sign your name. Or PM your email if you want me to send it to you.

My understanding, word of mouth, is that Jet are not looking for any B737 line pilots, only training Captains.
Donpizmeov, are you sure you're talking about the B737 and not the A340? |
PF Thanks for the post.I reckon your right. I think they must have had a change of mind as all reference to line pilots on PARC's web site have been removed.
|
hello.
is someone out there, working for them or just everyone on "unpaid" standby and waiting? does jetairways now hire normal line captains or did they chance their mind like air india express and let candidates loose valuable time? any other interesting 737ng job out there, ready to start without big fuss? thanks for inputs |
Yep I'm not really on standby and certainly "unpaid". I just dont understand PARC, they send me an email containing an application form for Jet airways, I fill out same send it off and then hear nothing. All seems to be a waste of my time. I have heard that they are only taking on Line Capts for the A340 and seem to have changed their mind on the B737ng. Is this how PARC operates? if so I'll give them the flick!
|
Regarding Jet Airways, I think they are only looking for Instructors. I know some A340 Instructors are already there with Contractair and this agency also has the deal for the B737NG , but I think it is only for Instructors on that aircraft too. Suggest you give them a call at least you will get a straight answer.;)
|
i think that is kind of unfair: to advertise for "normal line captains" and let you fill out all this bl....y paperwork and then you just dont hear anything anymore...
same with virgin, virgin nigeria, (yes mr branson...) easyjet, singapoor cargo etc.... is this how we have to let us treat in the 21st century?? where is the respect and behaviour? |
CAPTAINNIC,
is this how we have to let us treat in the 21st century?? where is the respect and behaviour? |

hahhahaaaaa biggest joke !
The airline has a great record for the last 12 yrs, 737NG capts are often picked up by EK, EY QR and the lot. |
