easyJet pilots legal scheme
It has been drawn to our attention that the easyJet intranet may still show ALPL as providers of the legal scheme.
Please be aware that ALPL no longer provide cover to the easyjet company scheme and that scheme details, help line telephone numbers etc shown on the intranet are no longer valid if related to ALPL. |
And the reason for posting this on PPRuNe is again?????
If you would have read the reply on the BALPA website you would have seen the matter is resolved with a new insurance provider. But I guess you are just on of these people that whinge incognito and suck up to the management right at the same time. Subject closed I would think. |
But I guess you are just on of these people that whinge incognito and suck up to the management right at the same time. Oh, and I doubt Alan has access to the BALPA website as I'm fairly sure they don't see eye to eye on a few matters. Oops! :ooh: incognito I don't think so.:} |
Alan's retired from flying and enjoying life.
Flapless, Oh dear! There you go again and I was hoping that you had given up knocking those who have been elevated to the ranks of the retired. MP;) |
Mr Hill
Perhaps you should follow normal business convention and communicate directly with your ex-customer. I cant see why you would want to post this on a public forum , unless you have some commercial reason for it. This looks like EZY bashing to me. NF |
To be fair, I don't think the posting is 'commercial', just informative.
Alan, perhaps you might contact EZ and ask them to remove your contact info from the Intranet, then you won't get any more calls. |
I stand corrected not so incognito after all :O
Never the less it would not seem to be the desired way to relay this message to the crews on this forum, especially not without some extra information where you are coming from. BTW Max Pete bit of confusion on your part as well I suppose. To the best of my knowledge (which I proved to be limited ) I have never knocked the retired, so no reason to give it up. |
Didn't reply promptly to the postings above as I'm currently doing a boat building course - busy learning about lofting and spiling . As an Ex mariner (4 years at training ship {HMS Worcester} and a further 15½ years at sea (Masters Foreign Going Certificate of Competency) I have an interest in boats.
Well if I don't blow my own trumpet no - one else will. The whole purpose of ALPL and it's predecessor Aircrew Insurance Group was pilots could obtain legal expenses insurance without belonging to any association and thus to an extent insulating themselves from the politics which bedevil this industry. Hi Nil Further how's the weather in Haywards Heath, thanks for addressing me as "Mister". I sailed once with a Master called "China" Joe Stevens in Union Steamship Co of NZ. Joe was a gentleman of the old school who insisted (correctly) that there were no officers or captains in the Mercantile Marine (only mates and masters) he addressed everyone as mister and we all called him sir. He didn't refer to himself as Captain Stevens - he was either Joe (if you knew him well enough) or Mister Stevens. As he said "Mister" is an honourable term of address. Why did I post the stuff re EZ on this forum? Well simply because it was the easy ( sorry no pun intended) way of letting EZ pilots know that the information on their intranet may be inaccurate and to save our underwriters the expense of unnecessary calls to their help line - which is almost free of you're a pukka ALPL client. We advised EZ prior to renewal of their cover that we would not be quoting for their business . |
no officers or captains |
Yes I seem to remember some rather scruffy looking people in dirty white boiler suits wandering around. I think they were something to do with the regular thumping noise that occurred whenever we were under way often accompanied with various hues of smoke from the funnel. Mind you it was so long ago that one can't be sure ........one's memory is not what it was.........now where did I put that mouse thingy....?

We advised EZ prior to renewal of their cover that we would not be quoting for their business By the way, Alan, which career did you most enjoy? The merchant marine or the airline flying? Regards, WW |
