LBA
I’m interested in a NTR DEC position at LBA, what are my chances of getting an LBA basing?
I have all the requirements, I’m just interested to find out if my base request would get accepted?

Very high chances. Not too many people are banging down the door to be based in LBA, the only slight complication you may have is this winter the 757 guys are all transfering onto the 737 which could create some training backlog but ultimately if that's what you want you will get it.

I think you need to live relatively local to LBA due to the airports position with traffic etc and most likely will be from the area to have a desire to be based there long term. In comparison to MAN which has a much bigger catchment area and attracts people from further south. For example most internal 737 upgrades from MAN this winter will spend at least 6 months in LBA, before getting transferred back. Hence why I think LBA DEC will be available, subject to the training program mentioned above.

I dont know what they are thinking at this point....
But I was widely open to their biggest bases across Uk; but still on the pool....
I hope they dont give priority to the TCX people; like them; they have to make a new TR also.
But the bad point here is they started to put on the emails that:
A position in our Pilot Hold Pool does not guarantee a job offer.
Then... I dont know why they want to spend time with people at the pool if they are going to take then into account....
It is waste of time and sometimes money for people...

What is the source of these rumours? Where will the aircraft be based? I have searched high and low and there is no information even hinting at this. I can't see why they would/should prioritise the TCX guys when they have a hold pool full of people equally qualified (and some with type ratings on airbus... hence the application for non TR), who are also available to start at short notice.

I have no insider knowledge by the way. I’m just stating one reason why TCX crews may be prioritised over others.
Jet2 are in a holding position. There is no available 737 in the market. No one has any idea as to when the MAX will fly again and so the squeeze on aircraft is getting tighter. The wet lease of Airbus is a pretty standard proposition to cover their schedules. At this moment everything is on hold. Not the only guys in the business to be reacting this way,

Good, then maybe you should show a bit of sympathy towards the TCX pilots. I see that you have removed your previous post in which you called them “these people”. Just be aware that the TCX pilots lost their jobs through no fault of their own. That a company gives them priority over other pilots who are in the hold pool but who are employed is good.
I understand that it is very frustrating for anybody in the hold pool but consider yourself lucky that you have a job. The TCX pilots have no idea when they find a job or if they can provide food on the table for their families.
It is very fortunate that you haven’t got the same issues ad the TCX pilots are facing at the moment. It something you only truly appreciate when you have been made redundant. I have been there 2 years ago and I am very grateful that some companies gave priority to us.
I know that you probably disagree with me but I am glad that the Jet2 management agrees.

Yes.
I completely disagree.
You dont know my situation; or even if I had the same situation as the Tcx before.
When I said "these people" I didnt make it in a bad way.
But; If the company have a pool... Why they have to give them priority?
And yes; I was also in a company that closed allmost one year ago.....

So lets get this straight,
Jet 2 have purchased some Airbus's, but not bothered to make it public.
They are currently recruiting for type rated Airbus Crew, but not bothered to make it public.
Are they using the power of telepathy? or hoping pprune will do the job for them?
I see on the Airlines forum, there is confirmation that Jet 2 have bought some Airbus's, because there are seat maps in Airbus config, disregarding the small truth of Wet Leasing from Titan, Air Europa etc over the years.
They don't call this a Rumour Network for nothing

BA had people in the pool and then kicked them out and made them re-apply a few years back.
At least you are earning, I was close to loosing my house during the last recession as my mortgage protection insurance was about to end before I got fished out by the above mentioned freight operator.
