12 months to validate but they have a long list of direct entry FOs and doubt they will look at DEFO, they would look at ICAO captains and its a straightforward process, they have just hired a lot of Brazillians through this channel.

depends what you are talking about, type rating for cadets is circa €30k, no type rating for direct entry Captains and non type rated captains is a 3 year reducing bond of €15k, so you pay €5k each year.

Just how desperate are they for DEC's?

Assuming rated Captains are not falling over themselves to join, what are they taking in terms of hours / experience?

- 5/4 roster we know

- UK salary?

- flight remuneration? Per sector? Per day worked?

Is anyone prepared to say.

Listen. Don’t worry about the pay, or that there is no LOL protection, exceptionaly poor company pension scheme, no food, no water, pay for your own car parking, uniform and the like. It’s all about a 5/4 roster. It’s bloody brilliant.

I heard a rumor that you can guarantee your mortgage nowadays by saying that you have a 5/4 roster.

Not at all! Just wish I had a 5/4 roster. And that warm feeling it brings.

Very happy to hear you got “your” UK base. I spent 6 years in total based at STN as an FO. When I got offered a command I was told “no UK bases for new commands - we’re saving those for the DEC’s.” Loyalty pays apparently but certainly not in RYR. I, like many other command-ready FO’s left as a result and never looked back. Their short-sightedness is incredible - if they weren’t so hell bent on stitching up their current employees and gave them the bases they wanted then they wouldn’t even need to recruit DEC’s!

Vueling is a lot better, and you fly A320, you get more opportunities with this rating especially in Europe/ ASia.

that's a start and all the rest is provided as you seem to skip...(insurance, uniform, water, medical, OPC......)
take the hours and move on, as I said, it's easier. anyway, off topic.

Hello guys,

Just need an information, about the terms and conditions at FR, If i follow, here 3 questions :

TR is about 30000 euros ?

Basically to make it simple : how much money saved should we have after the TR until we get the first salary ?

What about the new terms and conditions today after all what had happened, any improvements, TY paid, bond ?....

Thank you very much

TR is 29500 EUR

line training is paid now as well as far as I know.

Typerating waiting time is around 2 months. Typerating 2 months... so expect the first salary after around 5 months at the earliest. A lot of expenses as well (living, travel, food)

I have seen some figures for new FO salaries which is a lot better then the previous contracts. Over 80 EUR per block hour after 500 hours as a FO. anyone who can confirm this? And also confirm pay during line training?

I would say around 37.000 to 40.000 including typerating depending on your personal living style and depending on the commute.

but then again, this is only based on what I have heard from friends. No personal experience.
