Bom dia manolotelo,

I'm currently waiting to be called for the psychometrics at TAP, what did you actually do there?

First phase: Theoreticals
Second phase: Psichometrics - dual joystick sim with flashing lights black screen with 2 bars and score?
- Group dynamics?
- Interview with the psychologist?
- Psychometric test on a sheet with hundreds of questions with 3d mental rotation, maths, logic and abstract reasoning?
Third phase: Interview with "chief pilot" & simulator assessment?

How far did you get and is my description accurate?

Thanks

This question doesn't make sense.
There are some new pilots with more than 40 years old.

TAP is cut pilots salaries by 50% due to it’s restructuring plan. All other sectors where just cut by 25%.

Also flight operations director at TAP, will cease to function, after, in February, having expressed "high concern" with the restructuring of the company, according to an internal message.
Last February pilots where on dispute to accept an agreement, and he sent an email to all pilots showing his concerns.

Due to COVID-19 most of the fleet was grounded. So the company the company suffered the consequences like other. But the financial situation has always been fragille. With a massive participation of 96,8% of the members of the Civil Aviation Pilots Union (SPAC), the “Yes” was voted “Yes” to the “emergency agreement” established with the TAP administration, with a majority of 617 votes. The substitute regime is removed for the pilots, who see their salary cut by 50% above the guarantee amount of 1.330 euros per monthFirst, it was the crew of PGA - Portugália who confirmed the "Yes" to the "emergency agreement", in the vote held on Thursday, February 25. Today, Friday, February 26, it was the turn of TAP pilots represented by SPAC - Civil Aviation Pilots Union to vote in favor of the respective “emergency agreement”, which was known shortly after 20:00 in Lisbon, voting for TAP crew members represented by the National Civil Aviation Flight Personnel Union (SNPVAC) had not been completed - it only closes at 21 pm in Lisbon.

In a brief statement, SPAC states that “the TAP pilots meeting in the Company Assembly approved the emergency agreement proposed by the company. In this way, they themselves decided to waive 50% of their salaries for the recovery of TAP. The Pilots Union welcomes the massive participation of 96,8% of the members ”.

In this way, TAP pilots and PGA crew members approved the respective “emergency agreements” negotiated between the airline's management and the management of the unions of their professional classes, removing the substitute regime in these classes.

Among the 96,8% of SPAC pilots who voted this Friday, February 26, 617 pilots voted in favor, 578 voted against and 18 abstained. However, the general climate among the pilots points out the 50% wage reduction that will be processed in the salary sheets above the minimum guarantee amount of 1.330 euros, when the other professional classes will have a 25% reduction.

In the group of professional classes that work for the TAP Group, six different “emergency agreements” were made between the management of TAP and the 15 unions that represent the workers of the TAP Group, under the leadership of CEO Ramiro Sequeira and chairman Miguel Frasquilho. The three unions that took a long time to ratify the agreements were SPAC, the Independent Union of Airline Pilots (SIPLA) and SNPVAC, which has the greatest representation among “airside” workers, as it has 2.470 crew members

it has passed one year that pilots signed an agreement , for a salary cut up to 50% considering the traffic would recover for 2019 numbers only in 2024 according to IATA forecasts. Transport Minister Pedro Nuno Santo always focused this argument. Nowadays , traffic numbers are almost 2019.
Pilots are not accepting to fly on off-duty days and holidays even if company pays extra.
other sectors already recovered the salaries, like technitians , ground staff.
Pilot union SPAC tried to to achieved an agreement with company but still not flexible.

TAP started to WET lease aircraft , and this is more expensive than paying more to their pilots.

Bbancrupcy

TAP is a completely mismanaged airline and does as a stand alone have no chance in Europe. Portugal is too small i,o, to be important.
Without a big player like LH or AF/KL only bancruptcy is the end for this more then chaotic managed company.
