easyJet LGW updates

Hi Guys,

Does anybody know of their LGW requirements for captains at moment?
I see they are still hiring online but I did hear they have stopped courses at moment?

Any updates?

The wheels have well and truly come off at easyJet's operation, and it's not even school holidays yet.

Management are claiming they're fully crewed for the summer hence, I'd imagine, that they're not recruiting DEC?

Just a guess, but if management don't even realise the extent of their errors, then we can only see this downward spiral continuing. Have a look on Twitter and you'll see how bad it's got. They could well be after DEc, but the training department is probably flat-out helping to firefight the schedule.

2010? Surely not!

For we have Connected Crew; Drones that scoot around our aircraft; Sneaky Hi Tech Wizz Air training shoes; Directors you never even knew existed....

What could possibly be the problem?

Oh yes!

It's The French on strike again, the low fuel price (OETD anyone?) The weather,
holes in runways, striking pilots (you reap what you sow?) and a bit of Brexit.

Nothing to do with having the right number of the right staff in the right place at the right time....couldn't possibly be.We have the right numbers; The analysts were told so.

Time for Bosses to get back to the 'shop floor' and speak to the peeps at the coal face

Not only that but they have a new Chief Pilot who is not a TRE, you'd imagine it at Wizz Air but not at easy. How does he keep getting these jobs? The amount of people who left Wizz Air under his watch was astonishing and he's now coming into a job with that track record in an airline that is struggling to keep its experienced FO's.

Chief pilots don't really mean anything in Easy if I'm honest.

You hear from them once in a blue moon and that's generally only when their is disruption and they are trying to smooth over the HUGE cracks that are appearing!.

Unfortunately crew numbers are clearly wrong and our brand has already suffered massive reputational damage and we are not even up to full pelt yet!. 2016 is already a year to forget.

Getting rid of experiences FO's is the business model is it not....

I'd actually regard it a major positive if the new guy isn't a TRE even more so if he is not ex RAF .
We need some respite from the Squadron Mess antics of the current lot .

Last year, the recruitment was a shambles. They lost "paperwork", broke promises and I have never, ever, ever had the misfortune to have to deal with someone so rude as the recruitment guy with the initials CM.

I can well believe they need pilots if the recruitment campaign was anything to go by.

No that is impossible! Anything coming from the RAF, CAA or Big Airlines = Good. Anything else = Bad

I'm guessing that they can't find enough pilots willing to work for the amount that Easy want to pay....if Easy were paying 200k a year, I'm sure they'd have a queue a mile long.

BINGO, Hunterboy. Just have a look at these sub-standard contracts in BCN, ODO, AMS, PMI, LIS. Who in their right mind would join this outfit?

I would expect it is available at the german bases as well, after all its common law in germany that an employer has to provide part time in whatever fashion the employee wants it.

Part time is capped to 25% in SXF (No PT in HAM) and full. Good luck with that.

It would be very easy to challenge that in court, except if ver.di has signed that right away, which would have been a very foolish move indeed.
