If you happen to be 747 or 777 rated and at a loose end. And it's a temporary contract.

I want to apply but an Aerologic pilot heard, that a big number of Austrian Airlines pilots will bypass the screening and start to work there soon. Does anybody know if that is true or only a rumor, otherwise an application makes no real sense.

Austrian is facing layoffs.
as Austrian is owned by Lufthansa, and Hansa also (partly) owns Aerologic, it does makes sense. However, I can’t confirm

Did a search, but could not find anything. Can anyone tell me what the pay (and other benefits) are for a 777 typerated DEC?
All info on PPJN has indeed been deleted.

well there have been rumors about pilots from Austrian joining Aerologic for a limited period of time. AFAIK there are sufficient applications from pilots with a current B777 or B787 rating, so Aerologic at the moment seems to have waived the idea of temporarily hiring Austrian pilots....but you never know how fast this could change and management neither denies nor confirms those rumors.

CPT salary depends on your previous experience. Starting salary on the left seat is approximately 115K/year before tax and after every 12 months of employment this increases by approx. 2,5K annually to a maximum of 175K. Previous experience as CPT as accredited so for every (i think it was) 700hrs on the left seat they will give you 2,5K on top.

Hi Gents,

a quick question, have seen the TC's floating around for 2018, anyone care to share the new one, current roster situation, amount of flying being done on a monthly basis? Are they all red-eyed flights? Is there a swapping system in place or flight bidding? Just looking for some options, able to commute back to Amsterdam? Anyone clarify the tax percentage over the salary. Tia M1

Mark, you can commute using DHL. However that is not as ideal as the flights are in the evening/night only. DHL/EAT would be easier to commute as the times fit better.

baseline: salary is crap. Rosters are nice. At least this was when I went for an interview many years ago. I know the salaries have not improved in the mean time. Don’t know about the rosters.

Yes.

When you apply you can indicate your level of German (A2 to Native) and they'll assess your German in a phone call interview.

My point was more to do with the amount of out of work pilots right now. There must be hundreds of out of work German speaking pilots. Why on earth would a company publish a requirement that was optional right now?

ALM -- I like it!!

It appears that the disadvantage that pilots in English speaking countries might have had when language wouldn't have been a useful tool to filter out 'foreign' pilots might just be coming to an end somewhere at the end of this year...?
