Age/what you would get now etc are irrelevant
So a 40-50 year old pilot earning €/$3k per month and with only 3 years in service because he got laid off from his old well paying job is "irrelevant?"

Sure, roster, base, fatigue and paycheck are important issues, but all that is typical of pilot short term thinking (lacking the big picture/situational awareness ) and can change very quickly when a new manager wants to increase his bonus. Focusing on only these aspects is hardly a reliable reflection of the state of the airline industry.

Current a/c type: Mixed MEP
Years in service: 1
Type of airline (name if you’re brave!): Aerial work
Base country: UK
Hours per month (average): 50
Monthly salary (before tax):
Monthly salary (after tax): £1490 take home pay
Any benefits?: No, although there was no bond when I started. Not sure if that's still the case. Crew are great to work with.
Happy (yes/no): No - being on permanent standby for months at a time gets weary very quickly and no chance of financial progression.

Happy (yes/no): Depends on who you ask to. I'm ok but progression here is based on financials.
