Hi gents: Just an update from a recent assessment. Very straight forward. Friendly team - nevertheless I didn't have this 'warm welcome' feeling. You get the feeling that they don't really need you at this moment due the market situation.
Some infos about the ATPL/Wizzair related Quiz: as already previous described. A big variatiy of topics. Mainly involving the topics of performance, GNAV, MET and OPS. I used skybrary and the fasttrack atpl app (specific for the wizzair test). Furthermore I used the ACE book.
Interview: questiosn about motivation, avition background, family, technical questions (CDL; MEL; High lift devices)
SIM: Raw Data depature, steep turns, intercept radial - engine high vibration - leading to single engine and single engine approach.
Even if passed I wouldnt take the job due to the new terms. For SFO going for command its actually pay to fly when you initially get 2000 Euro gross.

2000 euro for SFO? I think you are grossly misinformed...

To clarify: when you apply for the Fast Track command you only get 2000 gross during training. This can take up to 9 month. So literary you work for peanuts for nearly a year. That is buying an upgrade!

Well, he didn't clearly state which position he was applying for...but according to a previous discussion few posts above, and his pseudo, one can reasonably assume that he is applying as a NTR RAP Command ➡️ he'd be joining as a direct entry captain with initially 2000€ gross salary during training.

I don’t know which interview you attended but seems like it wasn’t WZZ’s.There is no ‘’NEW TERMS’’ and WZZ has never been pay to fly airline. There is no 2000E gross salary and i don’t know where did it come from ......if u join as a cadet or low time pilot then You’re subjected to so called “Training Salary” which is 800-900 Euros per month until release. If u join with more than 2800 h factorized hours then u get full basic salary from day one including flight pay during your line training. So SFO(more than 2800 h factorized) basic salary gross is 26000 euros per year so during the training and BEFORE your line training u get 2166 Euros per month and u will not pay any tax because initially the income is low.Same applies to DEC, while all other get this training salary.Once you start line training as a DEC or SFO u get full salary.

I don't know why people keep spreading wrong info...
We were allowed to take pictures during the roadshow so this is not confidential info. DEC non type rated: 24000 per year during training, 2000 a month GROSS (on a local contract in Romania you will pay 45% taxes on this). Same for fast track captains (rated or not).
Normal basic and variable elements only when released (so after final line check).

So you are telling me an A320 Captain gets paid all of €39000?!? Disgustingly despicable if you ask me. At my last job I made almost 75% of that just in per diems with six months off each year. I can’t wrap my head around why people accept this kind of stuff. I get that not everyone will make 200k, or some not even 100k per year during their career, but this above is just insulting to our profession.

Depending on where you are on the payscale (hours in the company), I would say between 6000 and 7500 euros a month after all taxes paid. Keep in mind the cost of living in central and Eastern Europe

Just like you, I can´t wrap my head why some people would accept THAT for a little more money.

Many Captain do not come close to the 6000 you mention, and that’s before they pay income taxes in their own country, if they decide not to move to the city they are based.

There are always special cases, like double taxation; but it's safe to say MOST captains don't suffer double taxation and DO take home between 6k€-7.5k€ after all taxes deducted

Many of the eastern european captains on the left seat for many years see that money, maybe.
Many other are well short of that amount, and a lot of them will never see it at all.
The only case you dont have double taxation is by moving family and everything to your base country.
Or just stick your head under the sand, hoping that the tax man will never come knocking, which is what most people do in Wizzair, and brag about their salaries

Hi Guys,
Wondering how long does it take to get invited after the application for a NTR-Cadet (310 hours). I heard stories from 2 weeks - monthes. Has anyone recently selected?
thx

Simple question about their 'beards policy'. I heard that some airlines require pilots to be shaven. Some allow 1-2days beard. And others dont really care about that.
How is it at Wizz?
