So... on the above example that means that if I will be based in Romania and get paid through Confair I will get paid 6500/1,45= 4500? And this will be net salary for me? But what about social health and pension in this case?

Are they actively recruiting now? Also NTR cadets with experience on other CS-25 aircraft?

Good Evening,

someone told me now Wizz offers the possibility to start the duty from your own town, obviously you must live in a city connected by Wizz to your assigned base, is it true? How it works?

No, that is not possible, yet. They are experimenting with a reverse roster in OTP and CLJ. If it works then this might possibly be implemented in other bases.

Questions!

Good evening everyone!

Really interesting to read everyone's thoughts and opinions on Wizzair and the whole cadet scheme! I'm just about to do the video interview with a assessment hopefully in february out in Bucharest if things go well!

I'd really appreciate if anyone could reply or PM me with any details on the questions that might be asked in the video interview? I've prepared answers as best as I can to the usual suspects!

Also I had a question about NTR First Officers to be based in Luton? What kind of salary would I be looking at for that? Net each month based roughly on xyz? Trying to get an idea if it would be worth me moving, paying a bond of some sort etc etc for the salary each month? I'd really appreciate any help! Many thanks!

WIZZAIR HA-LWI, coming from Luton, London, to Chisinau, Moldova, due to fog, was forced to divert to Otopeni, Bucharest.

But the attitude of the crew is a bit hard to understand.

You can listen to the conversation between the pilots and the air traffic controllers.

The crew of the plane clearly puts pressure on the air traffic controller, for that minimum 300 meters they need.

Please note that RVR (Runway Visual Range) at Chisinau International Airport is automatically measured by the transmissometers and the air traffic controller can not influence the measurements in any way.

The crew was also dissatisfied with why the controller had given him 275 meters and that he did better not say that change. This is a call to violate aviation law, that is intolerable.

As for the "Approach Ban", we would like to mention that it is an internal procedure of the company, and they differ from one company to another, and regardless of the procedure, the controller is obliged to transmit the information to crews as quickly as possible.

We find this behavior very unprofessional and dangerous for civil aviation.

Before the usual Eastern European and WZZ bashing starts just have a look, or rather listen to the captain's voice. Not your typical Eastern European accent i would say. It is the Captain's unprofessional attitude towards ATC and doing the job safely, nothing to do with the airline's culture IMHO.

Some like to try, and even try a little bit more when they reach the DA too, just in case they might see the lights below. This is not based on bashing, but rather based on facts. Very unprofessional.

The airline's safety culture involves everybody - from CEO to frontline operators. It doesn't stop with what's written in the manuals.

Safety culture maturity levels
Level 1 - Pathological/emerging (“Who cares as long as we're not caught?‟)

It depends on the base. But usually it’s 25 days per year and only weekdays need to be covered. So it will be 5 weeks per year.

Depends on type of contract and country.

Agency contract - 24 days/year
Local contract - days for holiday change for each country, so I suggest you check labour law in a country which interests you

Wizz are so desperate for Captains, no chance of either demotion or retraining, maybe a small chat at maximum and a possible management position offered.
