if you ever flew a broomstick or ever served snickers in the back there’re gonna take you. It’s more or less the same thing.. and if you ****up the captain gets it, not you poor wannabe.. Doesn’t matter you don’t know the buttons, if you’re a nice chap and play a bit of flightsim you have what it takes!
hr ladies just need to hear you gonna go to kutaisi or skopije, but you gonna be a hotshot pilot!

There is a xls document that you need to fill out and submit it as an application, and if one of the lines is red and not green (one line is specific regarding the minimum 300 hours), then it is null.
I have asked a tone of people from recruiting to FO and captains regarding this and they all said don’t even bother if you have less than 300.
That’s what i know

Actually, if you circumnavigate their official website by gooogling "Wizzair A320 type rating", one of the links is for CAE program. They claim only 200 hours are required, but are also announcing new bases for summer 2008, so it might be a bit outdated...

I have review the posts from last weeks- it looks like a big picture of Wizzair- „The Cadet Show”... dont get me wrong- you have rights to write here what you want and ask questions, just recently only 2-3 hundred hour pilots are joining Wizz. We have to fly with them just after line training which makes this job more and more complicated.
I am slightly curious as I have been told by a friend who recently rejoined Wizz, that he expects as SFO to be paid net 4900 - 5100 Euros a month, and as Captain net 7500 - 8000 Euro a month and Captain on floating base net 8700 - 9000 Euros a month.
He had been informed this was the pay he was expecting, based on what the company had told him. Based in Romania.
Is this really true? Sounds slightly high in my opinion, but maybe somebody working there would know better.

I got the latest pilot sheet salary, with 850hr a year, 400sectors and an avzrave speed of 600km/h, I got Captain year one at 88500euro.
Now you have to use the X factor for the country, Romania is 1.45 (but I thought it was to compensate local tax the different X factors ?)
so Romania is 128500 a year, 10700 befofe tax a month ... And we come back about, how much tax your friends will pay ? If he pay tax like a normal man living in Romania, he will earn less than what wizz told him.
Google say, it will be 6300euro net for a year one cpt in Romania if you pay the normal tax of the country.
Wizair pilot here will probably answer all of that quickly.

I've heard very similar numbers being thrown around as well after the last pay rise, given the amount of hours being flown at the moment. Would also love to hear from someone working in Poland. Anyone able to shed some light on what a fresh FO can expect to earn for instance from a warsaw base (if lucky enough to get)

Sounds really unlikely, at least the SFO numbers... maybe in Luton on a busy month, but in CEE expect net closer to €36k yearly average (so €3k/month). €4k net in one month is possible with 100hrs, maybe some combination of flying on your OFF days, out of base, random roster etc. (my record is €3,5k)
This is however based on normal local employment contract, single household taxation, full social security etc. - maybe if you were on agency contract and got "creative" with taxation you could do better.

Agreed, 3-4K NET on a local contract sounds reasonable for a SFO. Altough I am FO and my record with out of base flying was around 3,5K net, have to check payslip for exact figure. But again, this is because of out of base flying duties. Which was quite a an okay month to be honest, good hotel, nice, people, not a big reason to complain.
I’m stuck in the RHS of bizjets (as we only fly 250-300 per year) and live near Luton so looking at TUI, Easy, Ryan and possibly Wizz as I need a stable roster and ideally chance of upgrading in the next couple of years.
I have 2800 hours.
Is LTN a likely base on joining Wizz, what can I expect to earn (I’m used to a large flat rated salary rather than sector pay etc), and how long am I looking at before getting the chance to move to LHS?
Cheers

Quite quickly you can move to the left seat with those hours. Expect up to 1 year max.
LTN is one of those bases which have a lack of crew so yes, I believe that you will join it immediately. You can expect around 4000 pounds as SFO in LTN net, at least this is what ive heard last time, might be different though.

Can anyone tell me what the typical net salary is for both type rated and non type rated direct entry captains at the Luton base? What can be expected as far as the company pension contribution is concerned,
and are there any additional perks such as medical insurance, loss of licence insurance etc?

Also for the Captains, what bases are mostly used when on floating base contract? Are the particular bases with larger demand than others?
