To be fair though, £2 will buy you about 180 tea bags in Tesco (other supermarkets are available)

Did a quick calculation based on my roster using the new salary scheme, as a Captain I would expect £10000 gross for the month of June.
The figure there is based on ONE roster.
Also assumes year 1 Captain with no seniority bonus.

Yes they do supply milk and sugar...............

It sounds not that bad but still around 10~15% below ezy?

If you consider ezy benefits, pension, share schemes, etc it’s more than 15% below.

Yep. If you plan at staying at EZY or WUK for the long term, you'll be much better off at EZY.

You have loyalty bonus and inflation-linked raises in easy. Much different structure as well, in wizz more sectors based, in easy higher basic salary (more than 100k pounds basic I believe now, in the UK, even higher in europe).

The pick season has started, planners schedule pilots for two weeks/one month out of base flying without any previous notice neither request. People get crazy about it, looks like every body is on a floating contract during the summer...

Bucharest

Some one based in Bucharest can explain which is the net income that you can expect as FO or SFO.

And the positive and negative things of Bucharest.

Thanks for all of the info! Its much appreciated.

Final question, I promise.

Im looking at coming to Wizz with no jet time, and minimal cmd time for a DEC position. Do many people fail the training at Wizz? Ive always had a good training record, but its a big leap, so would like to know there is support rather than a chopping culture.

How to get officially the last figures as said above regarding the recent packaging improvement ?

when asking to agencies they give this document which is obviously far from the average salary in industry . (no doubt they are looking for low cost pilots)

Wizz scale

check out Wizz Air on PPJN (pilot jobs network, I can't post links, just google it) - this is the exact and accurate system of current Wizz salary. And those numbers in the graphics seem spot on.

Thank you BarryMG;

So if I well understood, I made a quick calculation to have finally an idea what to get by month in wizz, assuming based in Vienna:

Assumptions :
- Base: Vienna
- 900h/Year
- Time of one average leg: 2h
- Average distance for one hour: 400 NM => 740.8 kms
- Basic salary: 45000€/year for DEC year 1 so in Vienna 45000*1.25= 56250€
- Per landing : 30€
- Per km: 0.062€

In one year
- 900h would be performed so 900*740.8 = 666720kms, thus 666720*0.062= 41337€
- Each leg is 2h so 450 legs would be performed thus 450*30= 13500€

Finally in one year: 41337+13500+56250=111087€/year

Basically the max average salary expected in Wizz at Vienna for the first year would be: 9260€ Gross

Is the basic salary in Roumania really 45000*1.45=65250 ??

Yes, however, in Romania you pay 35% social taxes. Also, the landings are tax free since there is no per diem anymore, they had to find a different legal solution.

More or less correct, the multiplier applies to landing&km pay as well, but at the same time I would expect closer to 350NM/h average
