Hi everyone! Can any FO working at Wizz explain how it work’s the floating for a Copilot.
They say you work 20 on 10 Off. Do they use your off days for positioning you ?
Aside from Hotel and transport do you get any extra per diem or extra sector payment as you are out of your home ? because they say “and daily allowance”
Cheers !

It is intended to allow crew members to live at those 4 bases whilst they wait for a permanent position to become available. Essentially, live where you want whilst waiting for a base transfer.
Once a position is available, you are taken off floating.

Anyone can tell me how much money make a floating Captain Vs permanent base?
Where I would suppose have to pay taxes and how much?.
I just need average figures.
Thanks in advance

I see on PPJN that Wizz offer a multiplier on the pay to offset higher taxation etc. Does the 1.5x apply to all payments, ie. Salary, distance pay and landing pay. Just trying to work out what a LTN capt might earn before tax.
Are fixed roster patterns available in all bases?
Hows life in Wizz at the moment? Especially training, life on the line etc. Looking at making a big jump.
Cheers

Fixed roster is not available everywhere, but in LTN you can have fixed 5/4 (keep in mind that actually your 5th day of duty can encroach up to 2hrs on your first day OFF)
I don't know about LTN base, but generally people are happy with the job, training (SIMs are mostly done with British contractors), people, maintenance etc. except one thing - amount of work. Expect even 100+ hours/month during summer, frequent roster changes and multiple calls per month asking if you can fly from your OFF.

Pay in Wizz?
Is it lower than the other competitors? (SAIL, RYR, Ezy...)

Yes, multiplier affects base+distance+landing pay.

How low cost is low cost at Wizz? Uniform provided? Car park? Crew food, and more importantly tea, coffee and water? Medicals reimbursed etc?

As far as I am aware, the new contract is of benefit to SFO and Captains but not for FOs.
For those joining Wizz, you will have no choice but to accept the new contract... or turn down the job.

Wizz is going through a period of contract transition. A new salary scheme has been released and June will be the first full month on this scheme for the LTN based crew (those who signed up to it)

And to the credit of Wizz, those at LTN base who aren't yet approved for the LTN staff car park get their parking reimbursed when staying in approved car parks near the airport.
