Nothing will change in this company till it won't copy the RYR cancelation "episode". As a pilots we are not beneficial part of this airline profit. Even if it would earn billions instead of hundreds of millions it would't have any connection to our salaries. It is not South West where the crew members are treated with respect as a core of the company should be treated. In wizz top management see only excel tables and unit cost...
Wizzair is not an airline, it's a normal company as Tesco, Wall Mart, P&G and many others. It has to make profit regardless of anything. In the airline in my opinion there have to be some kind of a Legacy, Respect, Seniority. In these European loco models these values were ruined and erased.

Does anyone have any info regarding non type rated DEC positions in LTN? I'm looking for info regarding the interview (is it in Budapest), do we pay the type rating/bonded etc, also what is a rough average on the gross salary expected with everything thrown in?

Few things are said here that are true.
Training department at least as far as I know was very good, high standards and good trainers, with a few exceptions.
From what I understand, it's probably slightly to easy to get Command there, as they are desperate for people to take their command on minimum hours, where competency is not always priority. This is based people I have spoken with within the company, and also what I have seen myself.
Other companies in Europe have much higher standards for Command training and qualifications, of course nice to your 4 stripes fairly fast, but I feel many individuals might not always be ready on minimum hours.
I believe airlines need to be aware of their growth, and movement to West European bases, as they do not follow the rules like others do, and they constantly try to push the limits on TC's and working regulations. Also their business model, makes them in my opinion a threat to all major European airlines, considering their questionable business model and unfair competition.
I was surprised that UK airlines allowed them to gain a foothold in the UK.
Remember it's your career, so study very well Rules and Regulations FTL's etc. as they don't mind being creative if it gains the company.

The latest wizzair news are: the company is not issuing the „non incident/accident report” to the pilots any more. The idea is to make it more complicated to leave the company and limit the possible options... What a poor joke

Bollocks. Only Base Captains are not allowed to give reference letters anymore. Has to be requested from either HR or Regional Managers. HR is sending it without any problems or questions asked in a few days, Regional Managers, however like to pretend that they haven't received the request... A couple of reminding emails and phonecalls usually works like magic. No incident/accident reports however are you local CAA's responsibility. You have to request it from them.

Guys tomorrow I have an Assestment with Wizzair, practically in less than one week they called me so I had not enough time to prepare it. Going for NTR Captain, looking for the LH seat on the Airbus. Any help much appreciate it, also I had no clear the T & C so if someone can share it I will really appreciate.

Hi everyone, first post here hoping to get some feedback. I have received the invitation for this new "video interview" they use as the first step for their hiring process (in my case for Cadet NTR First Officer).
Has anyone gone through this interview already? Do you know what kind of questions I can expect (technical type or more personal/experience/scenarios kind)?

It's not many questions, less than 10 in total. Both HR Nd simple technical questions.
What type of question they really ask I don't know but review as always Performance and Ops.

Thank you! I'm reviewing a bit of everything, with a bit more emphasis on the Ops and IFR area, together with some typical HR kind of questions. I would have thought the most of the technical assessment was to take place onsite, should you be selected to continue after this shortlisting video interview. We'll see how it goes
I just did the interview yesterday.
It is not really difficult. Just really starnge to talk to yourself on a computer screen.
My 6 questions were: How did you get into aviation and what ratings do you have nd how many hours // What are the advantages and disadvantages of beeing a pilot // What are your hobbies // What is AoA // How is "contaminated runway" defined // Describe the difference between Fly by Wire and conventional controls //
You have for every question 30 seconds preperation time. So enough to googel it and than tell them about it. For the personal questions you have more time to answer I think 2 minutes and for the technical questions 60 to 90 seconds.
They got me pretty well with the technical questions because I read somewhere that they only do HR questions but they invited me to Budapest so it seems it was not to bad.

Did anyone notice on the application spread sheet for DEC you could only select up to 2017 for the date when you last flew your current type? Or was it just me that had that issue? I downloaded it twice but it was still the same.
