Think twice

Think twice before you join Air Macau... Recently 4 new FO resign .. They are new released FO .. This company never expand but keep recruiting the Pilot. So many pilot both Capt and FO resigned..What's wrong ?? people easy come and Go ..working hard , pay less.. They keep call you for duty even you are on Days Off. Life is out .. very small place to live nothing other than gambling. This company is good for the last choice

That's ok if you want to fly an Airbus.
Theres food, girls, the beach, HK just over the water, girls, food, ciggies, more girls and loadsa food, and on top of all that you have the A320 - it does not get any better than that!

What the more do you want out of life? What do you want? Do you want a nice house and to and from Heathrow =- home for Breakfast and home for Tea - BMW in the garage, washing machine, cooker, telly, vacuum cleaner, fridge, party every night with your friends, wifey brings your lunch to you at Terminal 2 - every other weekend in the lake district - the odd hop over to France - major hols in Bermuda - fly twice a week get paid shed loads - . . ?

-duh

Hi, I am a Macau Citizen from UK and planning to apply Air Macau next year. Just wondering what flight school they do recognise in UK? Oxford, CTC, Aeros or Stapleford? And apparently my frd has submitted an application since June 2013 and he didn't get any heard back from Air macau.

Takamasa, Does this mean you are finally leaving canada? I know people you have flown with and I can only hope I never get on an airplane with you at the controls!
Takamasa, why are you so famous ? Is it because you still don't have enough time on the King Air ? Or refuse to build time in Canada even when you have a local passport ? Or you still dream of jumping into an A320 armed with just holding a bare TR ?

Take my advice: build time in Canada, and apply to a regional in Canada. Forget your girlie friends in Hong Kong.

I use to work here in 2006

A friend of mine went there last month.

Screening changed a lot since my days, however according to my friend it's as follows now

Arrive at Macau on day 1
Take a written test ATPL General knowledge approx 20 questions
Take another test stating how strongly you agree or disagree with a given statement
Fill out application form

After lunch interview with CP & HR just general chat about yourself and Air Macau

Next day take a ferry to CAE Hong Kong for simulator in A320
Profile is flown with AP off FD on & AT on ILS, visual circuit and then engine failure at V1 radar vector for ILS then FD off raw data single engine ILS go around come back for VOR and land I believe the AP is available to you after the go around.

In general the routes and flying is a bit boaring the salary is well below the average for an A320 FO and Macau is just full of casinos, not much of a life there.
