If you're an FO that's close to Command, go to Leeds as that's where the 'Kingmakers' are based. It's a good base & if you can land a B737 or 757 at LBA in typically 'local' weather then you can land one anywhere.

Good luck.

Hi guys,

Does anybody know what stage the recruitment drive is at now?

I did the sim assessment for TR 73 back in October and I've heard nothing. I'm assuming no news is bad news but I'd appreciate at least a PFO email so I can get back on with my life instead of daring to think about the future.

Good luck to everybody else in a similar situation

B757 sim checks are done at Woodford. Don't know if they have B737 sims too.

Interviews were on-going this week but with low attendance, I would think winding down is accurate.

Jet 2 DEC 737 Pay Scale

Can anyone that recently joined Jet 2 as a DEC on the 737 fleet tell me what the pay scale is and expected top and bottom line for the summer and winter months are?

I did do a search but could not find any accurate info for captains

Thanks

They do seem to be over stretching themselves, recruiting so many people in one go, not helped by having an electronic system that they then don't seem to use.

Have heard of people waiting > 12 weeks since the sim and having heard nothing, others getting random phone calls asking for documentation to be resubmitted, the originals being lost..

Zerotohero

Pay for skippers is about £4500 net in the summer, about £4200 in the winter. That's after £300pm into the pension. Basic is going up to about £81k in April I believe.

Hi Guys,

I've just applied and upon completion it shows pending assessments. On my pending assessments page it shows:

VRT2 EXAMPLE
VRT2 MAIN
NRT EXAMPLE
NRT MAIN

Only VRT2 EXAMPLE is hyperlinked though. When I click on the hyperlink nothing at all is happening, I have just bought a Mac and was wondering if this is the problem? Or do I actually have to be invited to complete these assessments? Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks in advance for the help, did a search of the forums but didn't show up anything.

Have you tried using "Firefox" browser?

I think it may work on a Mac using this system.

Thanks Narrow, I may be a little late to the game, but knowing how long these things stay on for I am a little anxious to get it done as I go away on Monday for a few days.

Prior to attending an interview they send you a link to complete the on line tests, it comes with a warning not to do them on Apple equipment as they don't work well.
in answer to a previous question…. yes.
there is a 737 classic sim at Woodford. i renewed my rating on it earlier this year and Jet2 were using it then as well.

What is wrong with this forum?
- NOTHING

What the previous answers demonstrate is the loss of patience those of us with 1/2 an ounce of sense have when it comes to people on here asking things they could easily find out for themselves in less time than it probably took them to type their question in the first place. Some people just need spoon feeding everything and can't manage to stand on their own two feet.

So the question should be - What is wrong with people nowadays that they have to ask everything and can't find things out for themselves?

Rant over

And in all the ranting time you could have just told him. Conversely if it bothers you that much just ignore it or stick the poster in your ignore list.
