Is Easyjet paying for the TR for Non type rated pilots again or do you still pay yourself? I heard they were going back to paying for it and wondering if that program has started again. Im an experienced pilot, plenty of jet, just no TR.

Can anyone share some light on the Simulator Screening? Is the focus more on the CRM part or raw data flying skills e.g Holding pattern entry and standard ils stuff? Any Information is highly appreciated!

For DEC normally a skilled easyJet FO will be in right seat. But I have heard it was also done in other ways. Depends a lot on weather you are TR or Non-TR - as far I can put the pieces together. For me it was with an easy-FO.

No CRM as each FO-applicant is in the SIM alone with the instructor/assessor in the left seat. You depart, fly, intercept, enter and leave before raw ils. Straight fwd. And if one of them goes wrong then an demo on how to is done before you get a new try - here key is show that you can learn.

Just heard that easyJet has informed the financial markets that they freeze all recruitment and promotions due to Corona. Furthermore pay freezes will be implemented across the network.

it doesn’t take a genius to know that European airlines will not hire external pilots within the next 18month.

Cadets due to start on monday have just had their contracts voided.
I can’t imagine any recruitment for the foreseable future in easyJet or anywhere else in Europe.

There won’t be any unfortunately. Even cargo had to cancel screenings due to Corona (aerologic, was supposed to be there next week). Lufthansa wants to get rid of around 100 aircrafts. That’s means current pilots will float the market. Bad times mate
