I believe they quoted 24 months last year. However, only if applying for the same job, so applying as DEC instead of FO might have no timelimit at all.

Please could somebody outline how long it would likely take for a NTR FO joining at a different base to get to be based at MAN? I assume going straight there on joining isn’t an option? Thanks.

Are there any UK bases where new joining SFOs are likely to be closer to command than others? How hard are NCL and EDI to get into for a new joiner, and how likely for a quick ish command upgrade?

Thx

Dave, I interviewed last year and was quoted 2-3 years for smaller bases like STN and NCL.

No. Your position in the command list will be anchored on the date you formally enter the command process which depending on sufficient experience will be at or after approximately six months in the company, having completed recurrent training. At that point the only thing which will expedite your command is if you are more flexible than others in command basing ie if other candidates ahead of you are bidding for a specific base or country and you are prepared to take a command wherever it is offered. Regional bases have shorter but typically slower moving command lists than larger bases.

Dave, I interviewed last year and was quoted 2-3 years for smaller bases like STN and NCL.
That would be for right seat, expect a good deal longer for left seat from date of joining.

I'm a NTR FO, applied and passed the initial sift early last year but still waiting for an interview date.... the application says 'successful' but what are the chances of an interview ever materialising?

anyone have a similar experience?

I ask ask because I heard a rumour from a friend of mine at EZY that they have only been taking EU passport and license holders recently due to Brexit. He heard it from a line trainer, might just be rumour but from the few I know waiting for interview all have UK licenses and passports.
Thanks for the reply. I do indeed have a UK passport and license. It's disappointing that EZY are so poor at communicating their concerns or indeed intentions to people they are trying to recruit..... it doesn't show them in the best light!

Why don't you give the recruitment team a call rather than post your concerns on here? They are more than approachable.

No details that I'm willing to post on a public forum. Their contact details should be on the bottom of your email correspondence.

Any more info on TXL base for captains? How is the roster and how many overnights can you expect per month? Will recruitment for DEC re-open again soon?

TXL looking full for now. No more internal promotions to the base. Also, with numerous ex-AB FOs with more than enough hours now eligible for internal upgrades I would suggest DEC in Germany won’t happen again very soon.

What is the typical net monthly pay for a year 1 SFO? (Rated and well in excess of the factored hours).
