Not much will happen for none type rated until Brexit is sorted out. All companies holding back on base commitments until they know the lay of the land.
Type rated guys continue to get start dates. Easier to train and transfer licences to another competent authority if necessary.
Not sure about that. One guy on my DEC assessment day was called back in August for LGW start date early December. He is NTR DEC EASA IE Licence.

Highfive were you specifically told this or is it just your opinion? I know Brexit is a nightmare for some companies, easyJet would seem to be pretty well prepared what with its Austrian AOC etc. Saving any doubt, wouldn't U.K. based recruits be flying G reg aircraft hence operating this aircraft using their U.K. license? If your U.K. EASA license has to drop the EASA bit then surely the CAA will cater for this to take place whilst simultaneously allowing the UK’s aircraft to be adequately crewed?

Do you know if the option to have type rating cost taken from net salary is available to SO’s and FO’s applying for their first airline job at easyJet? I will be starting an integrated ATPL next year so trying to find the most cost effective way of getting my first type rating (currently RYR sponsored type rating seems to be the way to be the most likely option)
To my knowledge that option is only available to non rated Captains going to UK bases. Last I heard going to Portugal based or Mallorca would mean the company would pay for the type rating and you’d be bonded, but any other European base would mean a non rated Captain would have to pay upfront.
AFAIK every single DEFO is having to pay upfront and they’re coming with airline experience obviously. Having a salary sacrifice joining EasyJet as a cadet I would imagine won’t ever be available.

The plan is to take most of the initial trainings in house, so maybe something will change in that regard, who knows.

Regarding doing training in house - that may well be true, but doesn’t mean it’ll be free....

If somebody could tell us in what exactly the assessment consist of would be great. Regarding the sim, which airport do they use? I read that there will be a non technical assessment (non my strong suit). I guess it's a conversation with the HR team? Shall I expect the usual HR questions and a group exercise? Anything tricky?
Is there a technical assessment too? Is it a single day assessment ? If I pass then I will be placed in the pool?
Cheers.

Found this somewhere: quite a lot of information about easyjet, how to join, how to pass, however, pretty much all in german. Relating to the berlin base. It is a Telegram group which you can join under https://t.me/ezypilotsgermany.

Hi guys, I've passed the assessment for Ezy in Berlin as DEC, looking for TXL base mainly. Could somebody please send me a few rosters so I could see what they look like, you can PM me as well if this works better. Is the TXL base mainly ex Air Berlin pilots, or is there a mix of pilots with different backgrounds? I heard that the base is a bit messy right now due to lack of pilots and some ex AB not being happy at Ezy, is this true or just rumors? A million thanks for anybody willing to share some inside info!

Good evening,
I sat the online aptitude back in July and was told that my application was successful but still no slots available for assessment. NTR Gatwick/Luton. Anyone heard anything about assessment days?
