Heard the same thing. Rumours are about major restructuring after Xmas as the company are out of cash.
IAG seems to be the rumour of the week, again. Hope for the best

We are simply not recruiting direct entry RCA or CPT anymore. People are already flying 40-50h max each month. Loads of people going for upgrade. And we are overall pretty staffed up for the next couple of aircraft to come.

I fear it is a little more complicated than just not recruiting DE CPT/RCAs. Having passed the assessment in August of this year, and hearing very little regarding course start dates, an email came through in the last few days (4+ months later) saying there will be no course dates for the start of 2019. Coupled with the fact a number of roadshows appear to have been cancelled in the last couple of months, presumably they were not solely intended to attract DE CPT/RCA, I would conclude either NAS recruited/attracted far more qualified RYR pilots than they hoped for, or they are having to scale back growth expectations inline with available cash.

I think the latter..
I'm in the pool (CAPT787) and I got the same letter.
If it were RYR pilots flooding the 737, it would not effect the 787.

Swedish aoc on its way, irish going out. Basically most if not all SH bases and some LH aircrafts also to be transferred. Swedish tax on flying gone, so a bit of shuffling at the moment. I believe recruitment will commence again after new years.

The Swedish AOC is already up and running, although unclear when and how many A/C will transfer, currently 1 Max on the AOC with 1 more to follow soon.

Latest rumor today is that Norwegian has canceled some initial type rating courses.

Any one on the inside can confirm this?

Crew meals (removal)
Breakfast in hotels (removal)
City centre Hotels (removal)
No shows at hotels
Sick leave (some bases are running at 30%!)
Permanent fees (e.g. TRI/TRE allowances)
Allowances in general
Smaller bases on variable rosters

Many 737 bases closure

Plus:

Either - Flight crew by 7% and Cabin crew by 4% ; Or – Flight crew & Cabin crew by 5.8%

Dublin from 6 to 1 (or 2) planes based, but possibility of bidding for a position on either the long-haul fleet or an alternative short-haul base (IF any vacancies exist at this time).

All good, right?

Well that info sounds like it came directly from O’leary’s office.. it’s BS, no such reductions as of yet.. just like Norwegian did not go under at New Years eve or was taken over by IAG on january 2nd.. stick to what Norwegian communicate, nothing else..

Sadly, this is not fake news. It's all true and also communicated from the company just like this.

The removal of the crew meals and other factors relating to the hotel accommodation is however related to the 737.
The pay cuts however aren't.

The options regarding the pay cuts are apparently:
1: 7% FD / 4% CC
2: 5,8% FD&CC

Nothing is decided there yet however.

Shema Y'Israel.... or what should I say.

It’s from the BALPA comms sadly. These are just ‘options’ for the time being.
