It depends on the conditions when and where you fly with FD off! If the weather is good there is nothing to say against a Raw Data departure with a DME-arc and a radial intercept, but in bad weather it’s another story!

As already mentioned, in SXS they allow you to fly raw data at any time and a lot of people are doing this when the weather is good to stay current with basic IFR-flying!

I would very much like to know that as well!

Anyone has any experience in the simulator assessment in particular that could be shared?
Do they really stick to the scenarios laid out in the briefing pack, or will there be any surprises?

The sim is exactly as briefed. Very friendly training captain and fo! They wanna help you and get you through it, so no surprises. Everyone who attended the sim the same day as I passed. Think there were 8 total.

Have anyone been through the board interview with SunExpress and kind enough to share some experience?
What sort of technical questions were asked? And how about the psychologist? What to expect from her?

Thanks,

I would like to ask if anyone knows that SunExpress pays during the type rating course? (Like a student salary or anything) Do they provide accommodation during type rating and where is it usually?

For the NTR FO sim check, yes, it's really very, very close to the given scenario.

FBW390 do you also know if a DME arc is flown out of AYT for the sim screening part?
Any tips regarding the interview? It seems there are a few of us in this thread who really would appreciate for info.

Thank you!

Guys it seems they do pay but don't expect it to be that much! Have you guys applied for SunExpress and been invited to the Mollymawk assessment in Antalya?

Thank you!

During the type rating you will get a salary as 750 euros monthly and as far as I know students will be responsible for their own accommodation. The course will be carried out in Antalya, Turkey.

Good morning everybody,

About the step 4 for SunExpress Turkey assessment : 1h30 interview with HR and Company Captain : does anybody have more details about the kind of technical questions that are asked ? purely theorical or « operations » ? How hard was that for a pilot directly out of school? Some examples from your experience would be perfect !

Thanks !

Actually they will give you a salary of 500,00 Euros and will provide you accommodation during the ground school and simulator training. After that they will give you and extend of 7 days of accommodation.
