I'm flying the 737 with around 3500 hours. Also been wondering about MON, just a little apprehensive about the finances etc, have things improved and does the future look viable. Probably BREXIT might muddy the waters a bit though.

I really want to jump ship from the northern LCC I 'work' for now even though I can have a crack at the upgrade for a better quality of life etc.

Any news if easyjet are still sniffing around it etc?

Thanks

......As maxpeck asked really. Is the reality that nobody has an opinion, or that MON is so small an operator that in these days of the LOCO 2 giants that nobody gives a stuff outside of the company itself.

Would love to give the Spotty a go. Everyone knows it's not the airline of old, but where is? So is it worth the gamble or are you going to be looking at a " look what you could have won speed boat" in resplendent pikey blue in very short order.......or actually enjoying your job and not dreading a brown HMRC envelope dropping through the letterbox.

What an Indusry eh....

With Jet2 operating out of BHX, for 2017, it does not look good for Monarch.

Ryanair also operate out of BHX.
So not so good for Jet 2 then obviously.

It's a competitive market out there.

Very recent edit to Monarch's page on the PPJN website suggests they are recruiting flightcrew . However, cannot find any evidence of this on their careers page.

Anyone in the know able to confirm if it is likely in next few months ?

Thanks

Sorry, to clarify, I've recently qualified as a low hours integrated cadet. I understand Monarch have recently been recruiting experienced pilots.

My question concerns future opportunities as per the suggestion on PPJN.

Currently there is nothing regarding pilot recruitment/vacancies on their careers website .

Regards

There's been lots of recruitment over the last few months. A mix of cadets but mostly experienced guys. Not sure how long that will continue. I could be wrong but I think the cadets have been recommended by their FTOs and then get assessed by the airline.

This means they are considering your application as suitable however if you are Non Type rated you may not get an update till later in the year once the Type rated slots have been looked at.
