I know a few of the Baby guys who were fast tracked into interviews by Monarch. I must say Monarch must be congratulated for saving the careers of those individuals and seeking out experienced F/Os. Well done Monarch!

Just had an email saying my application is "hold for interview".

3000 TT mostly on 737. No command time, no rating.

Good luck everyone else, hopefully you hear some news soon.

So the bottomline is that you need airline experience. Here we go again...standing here with my bizz jet experience.
Really getting fed up with that narrowvision of companies.

You say that as if you are owed a chance and a living.

I can empathise with you, many of us have struggled to get that first airline job and been in very frustrating situations and I can understand spiralling into a bad attitude that your comment would allay.

I think they are taking some Ex Mil guys? They won't have Airline experience so don't give up yet, you never know...

Good news for me too, 5.3K TT with Airbus and Boeing ratings.

Noticed on the email it said for 2013/14 season, so is this recruitment to start at the end of next summer?

Good Luck

@pork

Tx but i think it is here an age vs experience issue.

Anyway, i dont want to moan, we will see what the future brings.
Perhaps a gulfstream job, 3 weeks on and 3 off, 10000$ a month, 500 h flying a year and a nice hot FA on board.

Good luck those who are invited.

As a matter of interest what age v experience do you have, I have never known age to feature in our requirements

Hello mesh

I turned this year 36. I fly now almost 5 years, -+ 2000 on jet, -+ 2500 tt. My experience is in europe and outside europe. Im one of those guys who started late his training. I was 24. I can perfectly imagine that companies want more experience of an "older" guy.

Anyway, i dont want to drift off to much of topic.

Good luck to the others.

Hang in there, when I joined I was 36 with a lot less experience than you. Age doesn,t come in to our recruiting requirements. Type rating, type of experience, CV etc do though.

My application status has changed to "hold". Anyone got any info on what this actually means?

Good news here also - got the 'hold for interview' email on Sunday morning. Out of interest, what timescale do you guys think we're looking at for the 2013/14 requirement being worked out and getting the call to interview?

Looks like these emails are for courses starting in early 2013 at the earliest? Is that the gist?

Guessing they've filled the autumn courses this year. Anyone have a guesstimate of how many guys from the recent drive will be going through initial courses in 2012?

Still nothing this end - could be good or bad!

At least things seem to be moving - good news

I've also got the good news.
My application status says 'hold' and the communication I've received states that I have been successful at the first stage of the application process and that they will be in touch 'soon'.

I'm guessing that 'hold' is the same as 'hold to interview'

I only got an email saying that the status of my application had changed - nothing else. When I checked the application portal it just said "hold", so none the wiser really..
Well I'm sure it will all become clear in the end.
