I am sorry you feel that the bmi mainline pilots and cc should be petitioning for the integration of our baby colleagues into the ba plan. The problem is that you have your own cc. That means that you are a separate entity as far as tupe/employment law are concerned. The mainline cc are not allowed to negotiate on the behalf of baby pilots as they are not your representatives.

Just wondering why some left main line for Baby in the first place?

Was it for commands or life style?

Not wishing bmi baby colleagues anything other than good jobs elsewhere, however you're talking about three separate siblings under the same parent umbrella. They are not one.

Did the bmi regional and bmi baby pilots offer to share in mainline's redundancies over the years?

Did they offer to share in mainline's demotions due contraction over the years?

Did they offer to share in the promotions due to expansion at bmi regional and bmi baby?

Why not? A: Because they are separate!

Should Iberia and BA pilots share each others similar gains and pains?

Should Swissair and Austrian Airlines pilots share each others similar gains and pains?

but MoAs still presented the option for internal transfers (at least between baby and mainline, don't know about regional) should vacancies arise.

It is hard to quantify the fact that baby is/was ever an entirely separate entity. So many of the mainline back office functions were shared with baby: IT, HR, finance, Mx, etc.

The MoA to which you refer was never signed by mainline people, managers or union. It is an agreement between baby pilots and their management, this renders it meaningless. You might as well have one saying you can transfer to BA for all the value it holds.

I'm sure bmi mainline pilots would have supported a properly written transfer agreement, or indeed free movement between both airlines, but they were not asked.

Baby had its own redundancy to deal with and quite savage as well.

it also had massive contractions which led to those redundancies

quite a few people came from mainline into baby for a quick command. not many ever went the other way, infact i know of not one single person.

How convenient that they are separate

You don't know very much! Quite a few came from baby to mainline. The only time mainline pilots moved to baby was during its set up, since then there has be zero chance to move to baby short of resigning and then applying.

Max absolute rubbish! I can think of two direct entry captains at baby off the top of my head who were command assessed fo's at bmi mainline and came for the left seat.
A long time after the initial setup.

There were several Baby Fo's who went to Bmi mainline. These positions at mainline were subject to invitation and successful interview/sim and baby being able to release them. They all kept their group DOJ at Baby .

Guys from regional went left seat to left seat at baby, the people who went to mainline from regional always went right seat. The first intake from regional I think have commands at mainline.
The original plan (the mists of time make it difficult to remember) was to have a common entrance exam to the bmi group (interview and sim check), which would mean they (new starts) were good to go to anypart of the group. Everyone at regional (before baby setup) had to be interviewed and pass a sim check, conducted by mainline, when Biz Air was bought, (actually bmi commuter initially).
Of course things didn't turn out that way as walls where brought down by the various management (mainly regional I suspect) to stop or at best minimize free movement within the group.
I think that while no one moved to regional, some moved to baby from mainline as a career progression, fully intending to move back to mainline in due course.
