I applied a while ago and heard nothing, so I rang and applied again and still heard nothing so far, I'm starting to loose my faith in the system, what Everett happened to the personal approach? None of this impersonal computer based rubbish!

Ah well, what will be will be.

Well I applied in September last year, got a call in October asking to attend for an interview, rang back over HALF A DOZEN times and am still waiting!!

My circumstances changed (personally speaking) but now I am "in the market" again but do I ring up and say "hey where's my interview" or do I start a new application or indeed resurrect my old one on the system?

Hi,

If you have the number give them a ring and ask for Casey in HR. Tell him your situation and ask for his advice,

Regards

Casey was the person who I was attempting to speak with following the original call. I left countless messages but nothing.

Unfortunately when Channex moved its H/O from BOH to LBA, the experienced and proffesional HR bods that had grown up with the ways of the Meekon decided that the Glourious Leaders pronoucement of " Leeds the Future" was not for them.

Since then, there has been a procession of bods across the Portakabin carpet tiles, that has found LFFH a great way to try out their 2.1 redbrick degrees in Human Remains, resulting in the triumph that was GDF, an insult to all those that gave great friendly service as a matter course.

Its strange and absurdly funny how the rewards for going the extra mile each month, always goes to those Managers/Supervisors who should be doing precisely that in the first place

Unfortunately you will find that Jet2 HR aren't so proactively engaging when it comes to the simplest of things like the courtsey of returning a phone call or even a "thank you for your recent application/interview, but please politely **** off ! "

That is unfortunately far too menial for the cutting, thrusting types that inhabit that rareified atmosphere....quite simply sps 1013 et al...it is tardy,
unproffesional and down right rude.

Now ask yourself, do you really want to deal with these bunch of clowns and why are the experienced guys upping sticks and going to the sandpit ?

A Bit Harsh

....Have to say, I was going to Join Jet2 for the summer and found all the people I had dealings with very practical and pleasant. I even had a courtesy call from the base captain to welcome me after my interview and prior to starting, nice touch

Online Application Form

..digressing slightly.

I was going to make a fresh application but one of the minimum requirements when you select "Non Type Rated First Officers" is 500 mulit time. I have over 1000TT but not the multi time and one can't really lie to get past this step! I'm sure this wasn't the case a few months ago.

I've had a emails from Flight Global in the last few months asking for 73 F/O's for a 'UK Leisure Airline' and I'm pretty sure this may well be Jet2 still. So are they still lookin? And have they raised their requirements?

Does Jet2 still ask you to pay for your TR or has that little gem fallen by the wayside?

Cheers

Kind of a follow on from previous (I've been away); are applications being accepted for the next recruiting round yet?
