When will Ryanair pilots learn!!!!???
Well, Ryanair have announced that they will be screwing the pilots out of more money again!
Crewdock Memo released today states that even though the company has made an increase of 80% in profit, resulting in half year profit of 387 MILLION EURO, they will be freezing pay AGAIN!
When will the Ryanair contracted pilots stand up for themselves. Let there be a full review of the contracts and pay. The company is still expanding and buying more aircraft. Work to rule and turn up to the STN crew room 45 mins before STD, and see how many planes are going to start leaving on time, especially now the crew room is less then half it's original size!!
Come on, stop letting the company ride you all the way to their bank!

Well given the current airline employment status, and O'Leary's heavy emphasis on not putting up with any faffing or bullcrap, I imagine the pilots involved might be thinking twice about taking action.

The other problem is MOL deals with big fish on a daily basis and does not blink when his demands are not met, yes you may call us spineless pilots but if we all walk out on strike i bet you my full years pay he will just sack us ground the fleet and retrain all the other spineless pilots praying for a job the very next day, then with a couple of thousend pilots out of work terms can go even lower as 99% will be desperate to pay the mortgage.
£2.5Billion in the bank would buy some down time quite nicely, my 3 months reserve would dry up very very quickly

The offensive Irishman is tucking into a dying market at present. There are idiots prepared to fly for nothing and until they are priced out at the initial training stage, it will continue unabated.
Compare the situation at Ryannair to BA and Virgin. Who can blame him really ? I will take no satisfaction when the first major prang of an aircraft occurs be it through tiredness or any other reason. Maggie Thatcher was right, you can't buck the market.
Excel, MaxJet, SilverJet....the list is endless. There are pilots out there who need to work to support families etc. Hell will freeze over first before I work for them but never say never when you are a desperate man.............

Does the contract not state that the company must "post" 2Q losses, not announce "expected" losses for the last 2Q.
Why it was agreed to have this stupid clause in the contract in the first place is beyond belief. Any company can make it's books read lose at any point, and then still make profit at the end of the year. That would have been a better option don't you think?

Pilots will just have to accept the fact that at the present time, airline managements call the tune, and until revenue improves, and there might be a slight shortage of rated FD crew, then and only then will any sort of 'work to rule' or 'industrial action' be effective.
Them's the facts, like it or not.
OR, make trouble now, and find out in quick time, just like the CX 49ers did a few years ago.

I fail to understand why people want to have money when airlines make money or increase profits.. you know where you are standing when you work for a (certain) company, if you do not like it the way they operate, leave and find your "gold" somewhere else...

We get paid very well, and whilst it would be nice for us all to have more, you getting a 5 or 10% pay rise may jeopardise someone's job, never mind their pay cut!
Why not sit back, shut up and ride out the recession doing your best to make sure that the company, and your colleagues' jobs, comes through unscathed?
And before the shouting starts, I'm not a management stooge or any thing else: I just have a grasp on reality and want to keep people in a job!

Who says I am anything to do with Ryanair FD?
I am making comment on the fact that Ryanair has once again gone back on what it agreed in the 'last round of negotiations'.
The pilots were promised leave when they wanted it if they agreed to the new month off per year, and then stopped anyone having time off in the summer holidays.
No one at Ryanair is going on about wanting more money for the sake of it, but to be honest, if YOU were actually doing the job that is earning the company the huge profits, and they come along with another memo saying that people need to take unpaid or there would be the possibility of job cuts, wouldn't you be just a touch annoyed?
MOL and Ryanair management like looking at the big numbers in the bank account, and only want it bigger. They haven't ever paid out a dividend to the shareholder, preferring to keep the money in the MOL account. Don't forget just how much of the shares he owns. If the negotiations for the aircraft going on at the moment fail, there will be the first ever Ryanair share payout, rather then giving something back to the people that worked hard to get the company where they are now, (ie, that week that everyone had to take unpaid last winter!!).

Whisper it chaps, but Ryanair debt is currently €2586m (a paltry increase of only €187m) which leaves a net total of about minus €50m.

I could have bought my way in then had the big stick waved over me at the first sign of dissent meaning that not only would I lose my job but also my ability to repay the loans that got me in the sh!t in the first place.

Crew food? Crap. And taxed...ask easyjet.
We are better paid, have better rosters, better staff travel, a pension scheme,medicals paid for, car park paid for, uniform paid for etc etc

Nope, I wouldn't. I wouldn't be (and am not) in a holding pool and neither am I one of those responsible for directly contributing to the decline of T&Cs in this industry.
Argue all you like. People who bought their jobs have fouled the waterhole. If only they had to drink from it I'd sit back and watch them with a wry grin but sadly their behaviour has spoiled it for all who follow. Except of course for the minority who may take a little longer getting there but manage to do so without flashing the cash, they have my respect. Anyone showing a SSTR on their CV won't ever hear from me.
Edit. Crap crew food? Last trip I had the choice of lamb tajine and cous-cous, fresh tagliatelle with passata and grated parmesan, grilled salmon and basmati rice followed by key lime pie, cheeseboard and crackers. Yup, I should have gone the LoCo route. That's me told
