just a quick question. Where are Ezy's 737s based? I heard they are all kept in LTN, is that true?

Ryanair Employ/Contract a huge number of pilots.

Yet theres very few complaints on this forum, possibly FR pilots have better things to do like actually go flying?

It was probably the same when the scales were put in place, now with the exchange rate on the floor, there is a disparity.

I've been told by an FR Capt that new upgrades at FR in some bases are now on left seat gross basic of 55K Euro with reduced sector pay.

Brookfield have also been offering, and some new guys have accepted 90Euro/hr gross, with no further benefits = 81kEuro/yr Gross for a Captain.

Looks like the boys in Orange are better paid.

Pilots will learn when it's broke, just like we learnt about the Banks

Just like the heady days of lending, people thought it was normal. The banks' regulators didn't fully understand what was going on or turned a blind eye. Senior management driven by greed & short term bonuses aggressively promoted it. Shareholders loved it as it boosted profits and the market overall. The public lapped it up, as it was good for them at the time.

It then completely disintegrated. To a scale that no one could have predicted.

The parallels with flight crew are uncanny. Only two things will stop the rot:

1) Captains taking a stand

2) An almightly crash resulting in significant loss of life

Edited for accuracy.

Taxing Matters

just to make sure that you were heard that Mr Bob Scanlon is approved by brookfield as one of the service providers.
A very large group of us attended a presentation in the Raddison on tuesday and the deal he proposed it a lot better structured and transparent than the one that was suggested a few months ago by another approved provider whom i shall avoid naming !!! all of those others who attended Scanlons presentation signed up with him on the day, as we were a lot more comfortable with his arrangement than the one proposed by the other service provider whom everyone has been avoiding having to sign up with.

What a tremendously constructive and valuable post, really highlights what a great source of information is provided by this thread and truely shows how pprune is such a useful tool. Or..............maybe not.

Come on mods enough is enough. This was a load of ****e after the first few posts, time to get rid. That is unless you're going for some award for the biggest load of crap on the internet, in which case I feel certain that congratulations must be in order.

Cloud Bunny,

any publicity is good publicity: judging by the number of applications we receive, and interviews we are doing with DEC candidates from "superior" airlines, we must be doing something right !

Just thought i'd have a try again...

God, its been a while since I subjected myself to the senseless bickering and mud-fight threads on-here.
I thought I would give it a try again, but alas...the handbag waiving brigade is still at work in full force slapping each other in the face with insults and petty remarks and completely ignoring the underlying thread topics at hand.

Yup, have fun spouting insults and mis-information at each other. I have had enough again of standing at the proverbial urinal to see who's todger is the biggest and who can piss the furthest.

I'll go and and knit myself a sock for x-mas and watch some house wive television.

Balls

Dear FC,

Probably the best post I've seen on here for ages. Mind you I've not been on for ages for the same reasons.

Shall I send you that ball of wool I promised? After all, the whole jobs turning to it
