Sorry but....I had to say something!
I really don't see the use of all this fuss about salaries. It is quite normal that people aim for more and more in order to improve the safety and quality of their own life. Maybe taking a look to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, things will seem bit more logic for people as this " little bug of easyJet threads" the so called Clara ( Clearly Look for Adding Rubbish Argumentations).
And if the need of providing your family with a safe , beautiful life is not for you Clara then you may stay to the Psychological level of Maslow's hierarchyand that's breathing, food, water, sex, sleep, homeostasis and excretion.

I'm with Doug on this. Did it a long time ago and use it frequently whenever there is a troll. There is a freedom of speech, but there is also a freedom to listen to whoever you want.

Troll, yes, but entertaining all the same!
For what it's worth Clara, for all your talk about "average salaries"; if I wanted to earn an 'average' salary, I would get an average job. I personally class taking responsibility for the lives of 156 passengers and 6 crew every time I go to work as a little bit more demanding than 'average' and therefore consider it deserving of a remuneration which reflects that. For what it's worth I'm more than happy with my lot, but I completely agree with those which insist T&Cs must be maintained.

I don't think this young "lady" has commonsense and imagination commensurate with the position she professes to wish to prostitute herself for, and yet at the same time demeans.
I can only hope that whoever is involved in her selection is a good enough judge of character to see her as the immature little "daddy's girl" that she appears to all intents and purposes to be.

I stand by the point I attempted to make in my previous post.
Like I said earlier - entertaining!
Just to add... Clara, could you please point out exactly what is inaccurate or 'stupid' about the sentence of mine you quoted? I'm interested. Or had you not considered the responsibilities that come with doing the job for real while you were busy on MS Flight Sim? Nothing 'Superman' about it, it's just part of the job

The thing that worries me most about Clara's post above is that she said EasyJet should give US this new uniform.
And here was me thinking I'd never have to share a flight deck with her/him/it or her/his/its alter-ego ! You know the one I mean, the french **** that seems to have a real axe to grind from his trolley in the back of a CRJ - do you think he'l bite? I won't know cos he is on ignore
God there is so much sh!t said on here.

Ezydriver, for what it's worth, my Euros are on Clara being espanisth. Superman pic comes from a Spanish blog, she uses Spanish words that are pretty idomatic. Although the style of English might be a bit halting it doesn't strike me very strongly of that of a Spaniard, so I may be off the mark.
Although why she is so mystified at anyone asking for more money given the 20 odd year track record of her erstwhile country passing round the begging bowl is beyond me.

Looks like she's moved on from CTC instructors to pilots in the company - that's where all the inside info is coming from at a guess.
But hey you've got to admit she's keeping us all well entertained, lets just hope she doesn't actually make it onto the flight deck any time soon.

Flying Clara,
average salary in the UK is £31,500/year doesn't make £1,200/month!!!!
average salary in France £1,200/month, it's bearly above minimum legal wage there (I'm French and used to work there for some years)...
dream on Clara...

and whats the general view on seasonal commands?
Command experience with a pay rise or a lot of work for five months in the left hand seat?
has anyone considered the CRM issues involved in being moved back to the RHS?

Thousands of American pilots move back into the right seat round about the 30th of September every year and have been doing so for years and years.
Why should there be a CRM problem?
