Better to remain... (excellent name BTW!),

The email contained a link to a different application form than the standard one on their website and requested a photo be supplied. The email was from HR, not sure if it was signed by an individual or standard HR as I had a problem converting my MS Outlook email from Yahoo and have subsequently lost the email. The application would only forward to Outlook and could not be sent as an attachment from any other email account. I have never set up Outlook since aquiring a new PC so tried to convert my Yahoo account but for the record, this cannot be done and added an extra 1.5hrs to my total time required to complete the process which in itself was rather lengthy (an all day affair for those who want to make sure it's good enough).

It seemed positive but hey, as the general mood here suggests, perhaps it is better to remain....

Regards,

VFE.

If its the same email I got, it was a general one from HR. The form is different from online but the same form they emailed out last time, few months ago I got it. Takes a bit of time to fill it out.

Find it hard to believe myself. Must be two months ago now that similar rumours went around, I was speaking to HR and they said they do it to fill the databank. It doesnt actually mean they are recruiting. But please correct me if I'm wrong!

On the up note, the website if filling the bank for ground and cabin crew (including a Dublin base)... so maybe, maybe, something will come up. But maybe I'm just been hopeful!

Hi VFE,

Thanks for the reply and sorry this one took so long.

It was a struggle picking a name for this site but I have found this (my name) to be good advice in the past!

I imagine (ever hopeful) that any communications with the company are a good thing and that although the last few days further rumours have developed regarding BA and any other man with a dog that might be interested in regional, as thats what I am interested in continue to keep us guessing.

Im lucky that I have a job, but for how long I dont know.

Friends at regional are still working long days and 'apparently' 1.3 crew down or something like that. I dont know if that is Fo's, Captains or just crew across the whole company. Perhaps with a few route cuts they wont be short again.

I know nothing about management, just how to fly (on a good day) but of course live in hope that something might happen this year.

Didnt Mr Brown say we were coming out of recession?

Regards,

BRS,

Perhaps I should have...

Our head of training used to sell double glazing so you never know were that job would take you Berger boy!

Total bs about german intake, but if only you were left to imploy in the uk Berger then I'm sure they would look at some.

regional still in a state of flux at the moment and I think no recruitment will happen intil the lhr embraers are secured work for the next 6-12 months.

bilderberger, you might want to read some of your earlier posts on this thread very carefully before attacking the spelling (or grammar) of other posters.
Alternatively, you may wish to take a long walk off a short pier.

bitterberger,
I don't know who you are (or care) but this site is for professional pilots not failed ones. Just because you couldn't cut it you seem to take a delight in discouraging those with the skills you lack.

do you have to tell people your an fo

is that with one stripe or two?
from now on i'm bilderberger the captain which gives me seniority then.
it seems to me that the dribble on this thread is only liked when it gives people hope and false info.
and now all you hopefuls
no one is going to help you or give you a job flying!
they are all to terrified of losing thier own and without the uniform they could easily be "i'm here to help badge wearers"at the local diy or supermarket.
have you ever heard the saying "you make your own luck in life"
this means knocking on doors and get busy teaching flying if your good enough to be an instructor that is.
a lot of guys sneer at the f/i but at least he's doing something instead of reading what others have heard or more likely made up just to let you know that they have and you hav'nt.
(believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see in aviation)
and you wont go far wrong
and anyone who has to put what they are after their name spells it all out.
they probably arn't
right now they are more likely to be drinking their ovaltine and watching top gun.i've been in aviation a long time and i can spot rank droppers a mile away.
now for once "can anyone agree wiyh that"or do you all fall for scam sell?

Build - a - Burger, possibly ham and cheese ?

You certainly have a problem with spelling, and anger which is curious.

Are you a bully boy ?

It seems that I can't keep that quiet nowadays!

Well if he can't have the sense to use the Shift or Caps Lock keys when appropriate then sadly there is not much hope. Also the Full Stop key seems to be missing from his keyboard too.

Not the sort of person we want in our airline! Next.........
