Depends on who you ask

I left BA in late 90s and hve worked for them as CP and Ferry captain ever since. We have see our share of 'frauds and flakes' come thru the door, but I can tell you, they treat their employees and contractors better than any company I have worked for in 35 years of comm flying. Of course, you are going to get someone complain, usually the person that is 30 days here, 30 days there, 30 days somewhere else, and then fudges his CV.
You do not grow and expand as fast as our group by mistreating your contractors nor cheating your clients. Dont know why you are asking, but your will get a few sides to your request. Choose carefully my young aviator/rix.

Dear buckadog

I have to strongly disagree with you: you (Buck, VP) donīt take good care of your people, you donīt answer emails and you can never ever be reached by phone.

Compared to the "serious" crew leasing companies you seem like a bunch of amateurs desperately trying to make a buck.

Maybe once you actually start to take your job and the people turning to you for help and answers seriously, you will be taken seriously.

Just some advice from an "old" aviator.

I second that.

Unfortunately know a few that would third and fourth it also.

Actually fellows/girls, we have a physical location in Cockburntown on Pond street. EVERYONE on the island has a PO box. And, we do answer the phone, depending upon who you call. If its moi, then please note, I travel 5 days per week and screen my calls EVERY DAY.

AS for not answering every mail; what can I say. We get over 1300 applications per month covering every bit of the spectrum, so if we dont get back to you, sorry. Unfortunately we cant give everyone the attention they would like when you are dealing with these numbers.

What we really detest though, is someone who sends blind mail to posting boards under an assumed name, bitching about our service, rather than come to us direct. Then, after crucifying us online, they send the same mail to us directly through the posting board, again using a phony name.

If this is the type of person you are, hiding behind assumed identities to shoot arrows at someone or some company, then, please do us a favour and dont send your resume to us anymore. I guarantee, you are not the type of aviator we want working with us.

From my personal experience on contract with these guys for just under a year, I can honestly say, and back up with multiple emails that they breach their own contract. In my personal experience, I was forced to pay for a good portion of my recurrent simulator costs (even though it SPECIFICALLY stated that all training costs where paid by them) and to top that off, I was NOT paid for the last two months of contract work, again, I have the emails directly from them proving this. I head warning to all those who look to contract with them. Myself, and others on contract at the same time I was and in the same location, were EXTREMELY patient in dealing with their extreme lack of payments, but enough became enough and they have still yet to pay the last two months and the contracted bonus (going on 7 months without pay on the bonus and 3 months with out pay on the last two months).

Now I can guarantee that "Buck" is going to come back with some sort of response here to try and save face for their company. BUT, the facts are the facts and they stand..NO MATTER what he says. And, AGAIN, I can prove all that I am saying. PM me if you would like further details.

The sad thing is that they could care less about the HUGE financial impact this situation has had on myself and fellow pilots on the same contract.

They talk a good game, but that is all. Must have been some good politicians in a former life.

In addition.

This just in:

Now, because I am doing my part in letting everyone know how they treated me, they are purposely trying to smear me by advising the FAA that I falsified records and flew in Cuba under a false certificate....funny thing though....I've NEVER even been to Cuba, I was on contract in Nigeria!! It is amazing that instead of being ethical and paying what they owe, they are spending time and effort to do this...UNBELIEVABLE, that a company who states they are one of the better ones out there are even THINKING about and doing something like this to someone (me).

Just goes to show the real backbone of these guys.

Updates

Well, I will keep updating this post as events unfold. If they keep harassing me, in whatever fashion, I will post immediately what is going on, and at the extremely slim chance that they decide to grow up and act their ages and are real men with ethics, morals, and a backbone and pay me what THEY owe me, then I will certainly post that as well. But, until they decide to do what is right....it will be my priority to supply an ongoing amount of bad PR in the form of telling everyone through mass media means my personal and factual experience with them.

Thanks to all those who've read this far.

it's a small, small world

So, when you had to fork up your own $ for recurrent, did you not see at least a bit of graffiti on the wall?

One month of no pay, shame on them, but you rolled the dice when you decided to stick it out for the second, ESPECIALLY, after numerous breaches and a bonus 7 months due?!?! Why do we aviators do this? Just don't get it

I will assume you are younger, so hopefully you will have learned a most valuable lesson. These headhunters are typically not the way to go, even in tough times. Want contract protection? Stay with folks in the land of mom and apple pie, where legal recourse is a bit better. Tough to take if you are furloughed from elsewhere, but at least Home Depot pays... If you at least got your plane ticket home, feel luckier than some during these tough times.

I AM NOT FOR A SPLIT SECOND condoning the actions of possible thieves or liars, however, remember this is a small, small industry in the big scheme of things and a relentless wave after wave of "bad PR" may wear on folks. Fight for what's right but be smart (er) and you may get farther.

Best of luck to you.

Assassination posts not completely thought out....

With maturity comes knowledge - and acceptance that there is always two sides to every story. What you are seeing in print by one of the posters is one sided and nothing short of verbal diarrhea against a reputable company by a pilot whose actions and qualifications under the contract can be termed 'questionable' at best, but 'breach of contract' and possible 'fraud' are more suitable terms. You need to ask yourself WHY a pilot gets terminated from a contract, and why they were the primary cause of the loss of the contract to the company and subsequent loss of jobs for other pilots, all due to their actions; before you accept what they say as gospel.
Want the REAL story.....ask us!
But, it is childish, immature and below us to assassinate someone online like this poster is doing in this thread. Any wonder why he uses a 'moniker'.

Paying own re-curs'

Sorry, last note on this, I have other things to do. I just read this persons other note on pay and recurs etc...
I have definitive proof, that this persons sims were paid IN FULL by the company, and that every penny owed him was paid. Our understanding and in the contract, is that you get paid a 6 month bonus when you work 6 months, not less. Going AWOL for 6 weeks or more is not considered ON DUTY.
Thanks folks; will check in when I return to see the latest in this drama....!

Simple

May have been bad screening on your part, but a very simple solution to ending "the sh1ts" is to PAY THE MAN WHAT IS OWED!

Moniker? Who cares? You know how it is for 95% of us on this forum. Evidently something keeps you coming back.

Contracts for everyone are questionable at best now, yada, yada, yada, but he worked for you, so if his side is to be believed, YOU owe HIM. If your side, what a big screwup if one person can ruin a contract, but then again, I think I mentioned the whole bad screening thing...

Good luck to all. Makes for interesting reading.

ugwhatajob - Thank you for the input. I am not younger, but was new to the contracting world. I did see the writting on the wall when they asked me to pay for some of the Rc costs, and Mr. Buck, with all due respect, your receipt shows that you paid for rc costs, but what it doesn't show is the subsequent withholding of monies from my paychecks for those recurrent costs. And emails are available proving this from your CEO and payroll dept.

Luckily I am not furloughed and do have a flying job in the states. And, again, Buck....my qualifications were a few thousand hours ABOVE and BEYOND what you were requiring for the job, as I am from a VERY reputable airline in the US with a solid background. So your 'attempts' at smearing me are 110% mute. In fact, if you want to talk about verbal diarrhea, lets talk about the nice note your CEO sent me trying to intimidate me. The one about saying I flew under a fake license for you guys in Cuba....THAT in and of itself is pretty petty and holds ZERO water...a simple check of my passport shows I've never even set foot in Cuba, and the visa entries are for Nigeria.

And the accusations of a 6 month awol....Hmmm....I won't waste everyone's time here other than to say that the visa and temp. work permit applications from the Nigerian company under this contract took time to recieve and then additional time to submit to the consulate in ATL for approval, AWOL...no Buck, it's called paperwork, and your CEO was kept in full advisement by me during that down time. And for all to know, this happened again, but only took about 4 weeks to get approved instead of 6, so there we have it Buck, if you are to accuse me of 6 weeks of AWOL, tell the whole story and talk about the other times I spent awaiting paperwork.

Contract bonus, yes Mr. Buck you are correct, 6 months on contract. That was fullfilled, and I might add, AGAIN, I've got the emails to prove it as it was clearly stated in plain english by your CEO that the bonus was due. I will say that I am glad I kept all the emails, which makes for a very easy case against you guys.

One last thing, I was on property the full month of March, and after the plane was repo'd from the Nigerian company and we pilots were sent home, we were not told by your CEO that the contract was canceled till the first week of May (emails avail again)...so Mr. Buck, I ask you to provide your "proof" that I was paid for March and April, as well as no monies were ever deducted out of my payrol slips for Rc training, my bank statements and payrol slips seem to state otherwise.

At any route folks, I'm not coming on here to get in a pissing match with these guys at Politiri, their perception of a simply written black and white contract and the reality of events are skewed to the point of personal reflection upon themselves and their company. I'm an upstanding CA at a reputable airline that decided to take an opportunity to broaden my horizons and do something I may not have had the chance to do later in life. I would not be wasting my time if I felt others should know about the problems I've had with these guys, and by the writtings of some of the other posters here, I am not the only one.
In the end, I can sleep well at night knowing that I did everything I could to provide my services at the requirement in the contract, and that I can FULLY prove all of it with a simple cut and paste of all the emails conversed over the length of the contract. On the other hand, Politiri cannot back any of their attempted smearing claims up, less they are forging documents, which can easily be detected and brought to light by a simple cross check with the FBI, TSA, and FAA databases, all of which I may add there "Mr. Buck" I had to pass before being hired here at my current USA CA job. So good luck I say with your childesh attempts at smearing and blackmail, your arms do not reach into the pockets of the FBI, TSA, and FAA.

They've offered to have anyone call them and get the "REAL" side of the story, ie, their "save-face and business" side. I extend the same offere. Anyone looking at contracting through them should at least take a few minutes and get my side as well, as I can assure you it will be far different from what they think the truth is. You owe it to yourself to protect yourself and be fully informed of the situations of those that have gone before you.

Now, I'm actually going to go and enjoy my days off here before another 5 day trip!

TonyD

Childish drivel

We have all been working hard taking care of business, so havent had a chance to view the latest posts from this individual. Lets make it short and sweet....
Before you believe what this person is spouting, take a moment and google our company. See how many people are bitching about us after 17 years in business. Not very many is there? So.....Ironic isnt it?

I'll make it short as well. Any reputable company with people worth their weight in good moral and ethical standards wouldn't allow one of their own employees, especially a chief pilot, to openly engage on a public forum saying some of their clients/contractors are "Frauds and flakes." But, anything goes I guess, and of course there is a first time for everything, but by the looks of the others posting on here, this is not. Just because there is not a mass amount of google hits and dictations does NOT mean it hasn't happened before and that what has happened to me and a few others on contract at the same time as me (on both the EMB145 and the F100) isn't true.

One more thing...Any one on here reading these posts notice Buck isn't clarifying the note his boss sent me about trying to tell the FAA I falsified records....and flew under a fake license in Cuba?? Wow...that one still has me in disbelief that a "reputable and moral" company would do such a thing. Quite childish indeed. Especially given the fact I've never set foot in the country.

At any route. I'm on days off from a company that stands by it's contract with it's employee's. So enough of this banter.

Reply re Hamilton

Hamilton is still one of the principals but spending most of his time in Cuba for the past few months, and little bit in the middle east.
