Take home net pay Ryanair Contractor?
Hi anyone know the net take home pay for a ryanair contractor with normal monthly flight hours worked, before 500hrs on type in sterling?

How is that going to work with the new tax rules coming in that now include travel days as days in country (contrary to past practice)? By my calculations, if you are doing 6 trips a month, that must be a minimum of 12 days in the UK, which is 144 days a year: somewhat adrift of the 91 maximum. Not being confrontational - I'm an expat myself - just curious 
BA 747 Captain 20 seniority,900 hours a year,6 atlantic crossings a month sometimes,force draughted on days off now and then,UK non resident ,gross pay with allowances etc £140,000 pa,take home £11,000 per month.Benefits; LOL, final salary pension, private health care.

The rules which govern UK residence were well understood by British expatriates. At their core the current guidelines state that expatriates keeping their visits to the UK at less than 91 days per year are viewed by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) as non-resident.
Other conditions to the guidelines of course apply, but the heart of this rule has provided expatriates with a clear view of what was needed to maintain non-resident status. The guidelines have also provided a framework to those who work or have retired overseas – even if a property has been retained in the UK.
When a review of the Residence and Domicile rules was announced by the UK government in 2002, many were concerned that serious changes would follow. In 2007, the Govenrment finally announced that the review was complete and that, from April 2008, it will ‘introduce changes to the residence rules so that days of arrival in and departure from the UK will count toward establishing residence’. This is a blow for expatriates who will need to ensure they carefully plan any visits back to the UK.

Hi, I'm a Ryan contractor, F/O 850 hrs on type, average 5300 Euros per month. The aim is 850 to 900 hrs per year. Very steady roster 5/4, 1 calender month off and 10 days to allocate. You get your money and a roster, thats it.
For a guy just passed 1100 hrs total thats pretty good I think. Good collegues here too!

as a contractor they rarely pay taxes...but the question is if that is avarage 12 months or just the flying months, that is he/she hasn´t had the leave allocated yet!

for the ones who still love flying while (recently) getting paid for it: 200H/yr average 220days/yr 5 wx at a time in the Sahara desert or in training (Europe or Canada). Let you have 4 times 1 month vacation... on PC6-Twins-BE190 same pay starting @ 3000€+ gross and net = as long as U dont tell the taxman (more than pushed by our employer BUT Brits cant and other EU residents either...). Am 3 yrs in, s/w from PC6 (arguably our best machine but or/AND SingleP... onto RHS Twin net 4200€ average would get as TRi and/or TC sooner than later 5000+. leaving in an Isl, no tax of course for me. No pension-med-anything but you r allowed to live anywhere but Antartica! No kidding. When i read the thread am surprised that it compares... Id thought we were getting

Dash 8 check capt in Papua New Guinea netting $7800 Australian Dollars per month plus approx $1500 in overtime and $400 in allowances based in Cairns Australia with company providing travel to work each week, Guarented 9 days off in Cairns (Australia) out of 28.Plus a 13 month Salary.

Minimum Gross:US$ 9200
Minimum Nett : US$ 6250
Extra Pay:
Work on day off: US$ 400
Productivity : US$ 20 for each hour worked above 50 flying hours.
Layover Allowance: US$ 200 per night away from base.(above a minimum of 6 which are covered in the minimums above)
Currently working out to US$ 7600 Nett ( total of 9 nights away, 65 hours and 3 Off day callouts)
Many young guys looking at the Middle East and India currently

I'm a Jet2 F/O (737) and I got 2150 GBP last month, plus a repayment of 650GBP for my TR bond.
Winter months are a bit lean, as the flying program is greatly reduced in the winter. The 757 chaps do a bit more with longer sectors. In the summer, expect 200 pounds per month more.

After signing a productivity agreement in order to face new LCC's in the market our income did see a slight decline from past years:
2007´s Monthly NET: $6,950 Usd / 4,550 Eur
Still hanging to medical, dental, life and loss of license insurance...

$5000 usd/month flying long haul for Aeromexico, average 65 hours, Medical and Dental, meals allowance 110 usd/day, 8% base salary for your provident fund, 12 days on 8 days off, 19 days of salary bonus paid in Dec.

and thats it, oh yeah you get hot water water on board, just bring your own coffee.
