Devil

Amazing how he doesn't find the time to stick his nose in when he doesn't like how things are going, don't you just love it when he "gets the hump", never realised a camel was an invertebrate ?

Grim - you confuse me! A suggested REPA alter ego for you would certainly know where I'm coming from! Perhaps the suggestion given to me was innacurate? Just goes to show eh? Anyhow - I was on the receiving end of some abuse from a fellow member(s) who proved to lack the backbone to identify himself to me either via PM or in person since it's well documented who I am now!!! Personal choice obviously but I'm done with REPA thanks

Post The mouse that whimpered.

I'm done with REPA thanks
But Brother, what about solidarity? Surely you can't be so easily tempted from the barricades? Can it be that your ability to assess and evaluate independently of others and conflicting external information has informed your decision to give Repa the flick? Surely not. Sounds like the sort of thing a highly paid airline pilot might do, quelle horreur! More loyalty in a Bangkok whorehouse.

Perhaps it was the sight of so few morbidly curious fellow aviators more or less content that annoyed you so. Oh, and Didimus, 42 added with 36 and 51 gives 129 BLTS, not 200. Tell the truth. Not exactly what you'd call the electric atmosphere of a rock concert, was it! More like a bingo playoff at a Pontins holiday camp in the early 70's. Riveting stuff, Didimus. Keep it up. Take away the morbidly curious, the timid and the faint of heart, how many card carrying members of the seriously pissed off club do you lay claim to this week, Dim Repa? 17? 21 maybe? Oh dear!

Oh, I misled you at our last outing. The contractors rostering changes will take effect around the 9th or 10th of June, not May 1st as I had said. From then, it'll be 5 days on, 4 days off, and a big fat 10% pay raise for all based contractors. No change for those staying on the 5/5 roster. Tell ya what, Didimus, why not huff and puff your way into PB's office there in STN and tell him you want to come back as a based contract FO? Surely €75 per scheduled block hour and 4 days off in a row would cause you to be a less bitter and twisted fellow? That’s €67500 per year, Didimus! If only you would use all that grade school sentence construction and spastic punctuation for good instead of evil.

Well leo.How are you?
Don't be so tough on yourself and fowler.Rome wasn't built in a day. When it comes to figures and words don't believe all that you see or hear.
Give the contractors my congratulations! What will they do with all that money and time off.More importantly, when will management decide to renege on this latest deal.(Answer:whenever they feel like it).
Good and evil are relative to where you are.Have a good look around you!
I Will work on my punctuation and vocabulary. Thanks for the dig out.

See you around loser!

Leo, or anyone else.

Contrcators are paid per scheduled-block hour. No guarantee of work; called when necessary. How on earth can a fixed roster pattern be imposed on such contractors? If there is no guarantee of work, and therefore no statutory obligation to make your self available (you can be unavailable for a couple of months as there is no leave system) how can the payment be related to the roster pattern you choose to be allocated? This is total rubbish and unethical if not illeagal. To treat some groups of workers doing the same job with less favourable conditions is outside EU labour law. How can a pay rise be awarded to those on a 5/4 roster pattern, but not applied to those on a 5/5 pattern be justified, is way beyond my comprehension, which sadly in this day & age is based on fairness. The good old principles of a fair days wage for a fair days wolrk seem to have evaporated into the ether.

Events have moved way beyond you Leo. You, your ilk and your viewpoints are defunct. You would be most distraught about what your hero had to say to some investors lately about the inevitability of a union. But hey, the tide is irresistable. You should learn to swim with it.

Good lord, the camel was PARTLY correct.Ryanair management has further alienated the pilot workforce. Now adding the contractors to the permanent pilots in how badly it can treat its employees.Based contractors who make up about 2% of the total pilot group have now been forced onto the 5/4,5/3,5/2,sim on your days off, medical on your days off,for contractors no annual leave ,wash mols car when out of hours, etc etc deal which was rejected by over 95% of the pilot workforce just 2 months ago.

Thats the bit he got correct, what he got wrong were the dates and the pay rise. There is no pay rise!!!
Thats less than 67,500 euros and then minus your accom. and transport and the little matter of 4,500 quid ryanair will deduct for your sim recurrency at their own sim.If it is such a good deal, why is no pilot joining and why do ryanair force contractors to become permanent when they want to fix base or upgrade?
A mere sad effort to divide the contractors from the permanent pilots and breed jealousy. As with my punctuation leo,you will have to try harder. No gold stars for you.Give us your best shot, tough guy.

Call me naive but please tell me you dont pay £4500 for OPC/LPCs? Are ryan not paying for type ratings for experienced F/os/Capts? Surely they pay recurrents too?

Actually it is good to have a guy around like Leo.
He is always able to point out the ridiculous things and thought that might hover around in the modern managers head.
It's like flying with a nightmare Captain: it shows you how not to do it...
And honestly; without camels the desert woul be a boring place...
