Euroatlantic Scabbing for World Airways
Does anybody have info on Euroatlantic? It seems that they are crossing a picket line and operating flights for World Airways from IAH to LAD.

Thank you in advance.

Euro Atlantic are an outfit that operate an L1011 and will do anything to earn money, their crews are all hard working and as with all in their part of the world in need of money as their pay is not anywhere near what the average crew earns......if the guys are breaking picket lines they are doing it as they are desperate, cut them some slack if any company that runs as they do on an ad hoc basis paying their crews only when they fly what would you do....It is not their battle what goes on at world they are just doing their jobs to earn money to keep their families going.....before anyone asks I do not and have never worked for them but worked with a company pretty similar to them.

At least they will do the job, and keep the clients happy, leave them alone and good luck to them and I do not work for them either but have used them in the past and did a very good job.

Did Delta pilots fly Eastern work - or did Delta just take advantage of the business opportunity for themselves.
Unless Delta pilots crossed a picket line and did work FOR EAL (as opposed to for DAL), you are abusing the term.
Roadtrip, they are europeans yes they are poor and needy but in the end\ they are aircrew who are doing their jobs, if the pilots there will not do it then let someone in that will either that or the company goes down the tubes with even more people out of work......do you call the caterers that are catering the flights, the loaders who are loading the flights, the people who sell the tickets for the flights etc etc scabs or even the punters good lord man how dare the punters fly, call them scabs too, go on try it to the face of them when they are trying to go from a to b and paid good money to do so tell them they should not go home to their loved ones.....Jeez it makes me feel good to be out of the game now it will never be like the old times and yes I have been in the game for 30 plus years and have been out of work and seen other companies take my work but hell what does going on strike prove and then to berate anyone who dares to do the work just accept what you have and believe you me there are people out there that will take the work if them guys dont want it its not like it used to be thank goodness and the sooner people get out of this strike mode and get on with their work the sooner this industry will crawl back onto its feet.

If you fly for the sort of company that takes on work when other companies strike, and you want your company to survive, you have to do the work. What are you supposed to do, refuse to work and watch while your company collapses around you? Being a "scab" is irrelevant.
Remember the British charter companies that flew in Australia when Ansett and TransAustralian pilots went on strike? At least one company, Paramount, desperately needed the work. Mind you, not many British pilots could resist the call to stay in some of Australia's top hotels on top allowances and work in the sun all the way through a British winter!
