Can someone please tell me where to find the online application form.

I have been to BA.com, Technical and Operations, DEPs and I cant find the link to the application form.

Is it available outside of dates when they say they are inviting applications?

Thanks.

From past experience nope, you need to wait for them to re-open appliactions.

It would be good if there were no computer tests.

My assessment is 0830-1230 but the pack they sent through says 0830-1630 and mentions:

"
Pilot Assessment (1)
This assessment system measures multi-tasking co-ordination skills and information processing. There are no practice questions for this and, as with all tests, just try to relax and do your best.
"

which I thought is the computer tests.

However I realise they are running afternoon assessments so is there a new format this time? ?

I think they may have decided to drop the computer tests? Anyone?

Do the people with 1130 slots have 0830-1630 specified on the word documents that have been sent out? Im guessing that an old file updated to 2010.

No news good news??

Just wanted to query this. I am of the opinion that as I have heard nothing then I have been unsuccessful and that the lack of response is due to the volume of applications so this may or not happen at all. If there has been no response then I imagine that the answer is no and the rejection letters will only be sent out when all their recruitment has been finished. After all that is their priority.
For the record I have over 3000TT and approx 2700 on the 737 with an unfrozen ATPL and currency. So that rules out ATPL first or hours over lower ones. Guess I didn't meet their best pilot category!! Oh well on I go!

No news is always good news.

However those thinking or assuming the more hours you have, and if you have an ATPL over a fATPL would make you more likely to get a call, couldn't be further from the truth.

From reading the earlier posts, the guy with least experience to get a call so far, had 600 hrs 320 and only 900 TT.

I certainly wouldn't give up hope until you hear something definite from BA. They were notoriously bad at letting people know the results in good time in the past.

According to a friend at BA, if you were previously in the hold pool, some of the requirements like the micropat tests are not required again. Hope this helps and turns out to be true..............!!

I think with the massive volume of applications they probably recieved you can't expect all of them to have been assessed yet. I suspect recruitment may be ongoing for a while after it reopens again so there's no rush, although I understand people's desire to know results asap! I guess as long as all the interviews dates in the next few weeks are being filled then BA can gradually inform further successful applicants as they go along. With the time scales being talked about here I don't think it is realistic to expect everyone to be assessed prior to the first people being notified. Be patient!

Has anyone been invited for interview with 757/767 experience only. We have read about 737 and A320 drivers being invited! Just wondering if they are sorting applications by fleet!

When I applied in 2007 I waited nearly 1 month from application date to being offered a stage 1 interview, another month to find out I had a sim ride and then 3 weeks to be offered a job. I'm told you'll find out much more quickly that they aren't interested.

I guess that makes the one pertinent question:

Has anyone been rejected yet?

I called BA yesterday, to enquire as to the stage of my application.

The lady I spoke to was very polite and apologetic, and said they had been snowed under with applications. Although she couldn't give a time frame, she said that you will hear yey or ney eventually.

When I applied on-line in early 2008...

2 weeks to hear re stage 1, this was via a phone call.

2 days after stage 1 to hear re sim check, this was via a phone call.

2 days after sim check to hear of placement into the hold pool, this was via a phone call.

5 days later offered a place on the bus at Gatwick - yes you guessed, via a phone call.

Am transferring to LHR in early November as the BA LGW Airbus fleet is winding down for the winter. Talk is it will rise like a pheonix from the ashes next year - but will be crewed as part of the LHR bidpack. Gatwick is great, slightly less moola due to the scheduling agreement but crew banter is superb - both sides of the cockpit door.

I will miss it.
