Cool

FULLFORWARD....suggest you contact [email protected] for the "official" word.

There "is" a new and improved package being touted as we speak but few have taken them up on the offer of the long term contract.

am certain you could get the negative view from 767longhaul. shop around for info...not all of us are quite as ascerbic!

Perdiem???? what's that? a new Malaysian car?

Couldn't have been that good a deal, as I personally know of two folks that turned it down, flat.

Thumbs down

How about crap! Believe me, you will get nothing from AAI except the bare minimum. You will not get what you and they agreeded to in the contract. You will be treated like a piece of meat. You will be expected to break FTL and not write up things all the time.

If you enjoy putting your ticket on the line every time you fly, then join. Otherwise, look other places!!!!

Part of our ongoing education program Phil. He tries to 'out' someone - his entire post goes. Really rather simple as a concept.

I am no longer with AAI so no axe to grind.

It had it's ups and downs but on a whole I enjoyed my 4 years with them on the 767.

The money was ok for me, Around $115,000 for the year and of course acomm. paid for by the company.

The pay was ontime always, although if you were due some extra payments these my have taken sometime to filter through.

For the last few months I flew on the AAE contract, They pay the industry standard but the add on's are a little lower. and again payment was on time.

Would I work for them again in the future, YES

So I get that will answer your questions, But it does not suit every one.

Why did I leave, for personal family reasons. And a new project came up which looked fun.

could i borrow your rose tinted welding goggles? if they had not paid on time you would probably only stayed four and a half weeks not four years you must have been one of the longest serving. but lets admit the a/c are nearly always going tech i'd like to exagerate, but i cant stretch my imagination that far. i hope your domestic gets sorted and that the next assignment is a million miles from the last. good luck j

Air Atlanta Icelandic.

I spent just on 12 months with AAI. They didn’t get any revenue flying out of me I made damned sure of that. The reason being they refused to even acknowledge a letter of complaint I addressed to them after 6 months of been jerked around.

The “management” during my time there were morally bankrupt, thieved on provocation, the currency they dealt in was lies and half truths and incompetence was rife, not to mention unbelievable nepotism. I offered them a 3 on 1, "chat" across the table face to face, man to man. Of course they didn't have the gusts to accept as they knew I would have wiped the floor with them.

There are a lot of fine people working at AA, but the previous 2 “CP’S” were such, that words fail me. The Chief pilot of AAE in contrast is a fine chap.

There is no Chief Pilot of AAE, just a DFO, a CTC and two Fleet Managers.

Dear "Icelanders",

I got an offer for B747-400 F/O based in Madrid.Although I have the frame of the contract, please let me know how is life overthere.

-How/where is the accomodation?

-About how many MAD-HAV-MAD flight per month?

-Are there other routes than HAV?

-I am from Europe but not spanish,so how many days at home?

-How stable is the job?

-Any more 744 for Air Atlanta?

And of course I am open for any usefull info,I am rated and current on the 744.

Thanks in advance.

Good show. Thanks for the update

Those chaps in management at AAE were splendid people.

However, any change in the management at AAI could only be welcomed.
