Steamjet to fly Mach 6
 

Read an interesting article about the American Airforce developing a new engine. Use of steam injection will make it possible for an aircraft of 15000kg to fly Mach 6. As I understand it would use the principle of water-methanol injection that some airplanes still use in these days.
Has anyone more information about this “steamjet” engine?
