How does an Iso contour Radar work?
An iso-contour radar relies on dispersion and reflection from water droplets to produce a picture. The greater the discontinuity as the precipitation is penetrated by the beam, the'harder' the picture and the better the contour facility will work. This device is simply an electronic measurement within the set of the radar reflectivity of the storm. Handling the Big Jets,D.P.Davies, ,pg 236 What are active controls? Ailerons which operate to relieve bending moments. ( gusts) An active aileron is used in a fashion similar to a flap in that they can both be moved down for landing, In addition they have an electronic sensor that can deflect them up if a gust is sensed, thereby relieving the load on the wing. They can increase wing loading or provide a larger wing span without too much beefing up of the structure. These appear to be the Q's out of "Preparing for your CX Interview".Have you got an interview lined up in the near future?Good Luck!!! |
