Embraer presents Ethanol engine for AG!
 

Neiva - a subsidiary from Embraer presented yesterday its first engine that runs with Ethanol, extracted from the sugarcane.
The engine will equip the EMB-202 Ipanema, a AG model.
The engine will represent a significant economy for Brazilians operators. The actual price per litre of avgas in Brazil is about R$ 4,00 (+-US$ 1,00) and the Ethanol litre cost about R$ 0,90 (+- US$ 0,22).

It has began it's flight certification and Embraer expects to deliver the aircraft in 2004.
