A320 Dry Crank required or not ?
 

Sim exercise question.

For CFM56 engines on the A320 during engine start , we receive an ECAM “start valve not closed”.

After this procedure is complete , are we required to do a dry crank before doing the manual start valve procedure ?

No, the engine had essentially started, there is no residual unburnt fuel in the cans.
