A320 seating properly

Hi,

I noticed that with such a big fleet I struggle a bit with the seating position in different planes (I notice when in a day I change aircraft).
i read the FCTM and safety first article. Can someone share some tips regarding seating. I’m 185cm tall and tend to seat too high even if the red and white balls look mostly aligned.
my armrest is F4… and I tend to keep the backrest fully vertical to avoid finding the sweet spot….
I see many people have different techniques to find the perfect position

Personally, I try not to overcomplicate things. I am fairly tall (190cm) with long legs, and I find that I have to adjust the seating pos+armrest rather drastically every time I swap aircraft.

However, us humans are all shaped in different forms, so as long as I am comfortable, and the eye ref are aligned and I am able to reach everything / brake with full rudder deflection etc etc, then I am satisfied.
On another point, I see in the sim quite a few pilots, who sit differently for takeoff than they do for landing... To me, that is suboptimal, as that leads to one more issue to deal with, should you need to make a quick return under high workload.

So, find a position that suits you, and fulfils the requirements to see what you need to see and reach what you need to reach etc. and that's it. (And use the same position for both departure and arrival...)

You don’t need to go to Area 51 to look for evidence that They are amongst us. The seat settings when you get on an aircraft sometimes are pretty conclusive.
