LATAM 773 Tail strike
 

Departing from Milan to São Paulo on July 9 this 773 had a serious tail strike


After rotation the tail struck the runway surface and remained in contact with the runway for an extended period while the aircraft remained in a high pitch attitude before eventually climbing away


There was a large amount of dust thrown up by the impact. The aircraft returned for a safe landing in Milan
